Weapon/Spell Damage Request

Why not make it so ALL skills and morphs choose either your highest weapon damage or spell damage to calculate the damage of the skill?

    it wouldn't work because skills cost either stamina or magicka so if you wanted to use a magicka based skill on a stamina build you wouldn't have a large enough magicka pool to use the skill

    This has been requested before and its actually a brilliant idea (not to mention, logical..).

    All CLASS skills should cost whichever stat is higher (magicka or stamina), deal damage based on higher weapon damage or spell damage and convert the type of damage with that as well (f.e. from magic damage to physical) so CPs make sense. Then they don't have to worry which morph will cost stamina and etc.

    But honestly, trying to apply logic to a dev team like Wrobels is kind of a waste of time., saddly.

    That's what facilitates balance between magicka/stamina builds.

    So a mag. Templar with 20k BOL is alright? Or a magicka NB with proxy, lotus and concealed weapon is also fine?

    There's more to it, that's classes / skills that need rebalance. But with this way it would, at the very least , illiminate a stamina / magicka inbalance

    Its a 2 way access and quite frankly it gives more player options. Of course there will be imbalances but they will be forcome of the ones we have right now. I.e. Wrecking blow spam, Steel Tornado spam, proxy det zergs and etc etc

    its a stam access to every skill. (except inferno (which are all crap anyway) and healing (only usefull there is ward))
    mag users wont have stam weapon skills.

    and even if. it would be simply stupid, making stam and magicka useless and give us weapon damage stacking builds with 40k magicka OP builds

    Once again you 're pointing out the imbalances we currently have (steel tornado compared to elemental ring) which should of course be fixed but besides that means nothing. Because this would change the entire landscape of builds and it would give more player options and make a few extra choices viable (i.e. stamina healers). I'm showing you the forest and you just stare at the tree

    Zero sense was made from that quote. Do the OP stamina / magicka builds we have right now with stamina DKs going full weapon damage just using Take Flight and Steel Tornado OR the magicka Sorcs going full max magicka with 20+ k shields seem balanced to you?... Again, all of that comes from the imbalance we have right now.

    I pointed out that the cost / damage type should be converted based on Max Stat pool and higher weapon type. Which of course would give one major problem, what if a player decides that a skill uses his lower stat pool instead of his max (stamina DK that wants Igneous shield to use magicka instead of stamina). Of course that could also be fixed with giving players an option to that.

    Bottom line: it would have been cool, it would give players more options but don't forget we are talking about ZOS dev team... So just forget about it.
