Should I skip Craglon?

Just hit VR10 and the zone seems pretty dead I keep weird hours so it will probably be hard to find a group, so should I just move on to the DLC zone?

Craglorn is a VR12 zone, so I'd go with the DLC.

It is really hard to find people to do it I agree, I wanted to complete that area so much that I tried to solo one of the quests to test if it was possible since I was having no luck finding others. R.I.P. my sorcerer :D.

im vet11 and my 2 buddies from work are vr4. if they were both vr11 i think we would have been fine. the first trial we tried we were able to it all but the arena. Then there was a event where you have to keep the star gazer alive and we kept him alive just intime for the final boss to spit fire at him and kill him.

The Trials of Rah'ni Za is a bit tough if you haven't done it before. It's a daily quest, though, not part of the main quest line.

The main quest line is not as challenging, but there are 2 quest parts where you do need 4 people to proceed.

There are two quests in the Craglorn main storyline that require 4 (or maybe 3) people to stand on different floor panels to open doors, so no, it's not possible to complete the story alone.

It is hard to find a group because people don't want to help you complete the 4th quest in a series, when they're only on quest 2. So in order to find a group you need to find people that are in the exact same part of the quest progression as you are.

If you want to do Craglorn, find a group that has not started it, and commit to progressing the storyline 1 night per week at a specific time until it's done. Don't stray from that, if you guys get out of sync, the group will likely fall apart.

Seriously? LOL i had no clue it was a Daily quest....thats pretty disappointing. as well as the needing 4 people quest no matter what. Maybe someday we will be able to finish all of those quests!

One of these days I'd like to do some Craglorn quests. So far I just go there to turn in writs and farm.

I have been poking around Craglorn and like you I have odd irregular hours. All the group dungeons I have done to here have been with PUGs or just hanging out at the beginning until enough other lost souls showed up and want to form a PUG. In Cyrodil I would go to whichever keep was being attacked and jump in the zerg. Sounds like that's not gonna work here. I have great guilds though so maybe I can work something out with one of them.

Sounds like the social aspect will the the hardest part of Craiglorn

Revisit Craglorn again, sell it as DLC. I'd love to go back there.

    Yes skip Craglorn.

You cannot do the main quest alone, you need at least 2 buddies to be able to advance in your main quest.

    Just skip it.

The only quest you need assistance with is the last one on Lower Craglorn (and possible another that requires a switch toggle? Sorry, can't remember, been too long since I did that one) to open a door. The actual content is easy enough to solo. If you can't, it just takes practise.

But in answer to the OP, yes skip it. It's not that great and you get no real rewards apart from an odd skyshard and if you finish the quests all the way through, a nirnhoned weapon you can other wise buy.

Its an amazing zone with great delves and quests though it is so hard to find a group for it. I really love the zone and still go everday to pick up writs and use the bank and decon stations

Craglorn has interesting quests, but it is difficult to experience fully, because it is group content. Even if you have a group that wants to do the exact same quest you do, chances are people will be impatient and try to rush through the NPC dialogue. Then of course there is the group where everyone wants to do something different, and so you end up repeating stuff you've already done, or doing a delve for which you don't yet have the quest, without really progressing at all...

Still, the bosses tend to be fun. And after all the nerfs it's much more forgiving than pledges, so it's a pretty good introduction to group play.

I wouldn't skip Craglorn. The most difficult part now is finding people who want to quest with you.
In the past the Zone chat was spammed with people for doing dungeons or trials together. Now Craglorn seems like No-Mans-Land.

Though I still didn't complete my main quest, and a few dungeons. I still want to complete those, and the last days I'm back in Craglorn.
But full Orsinium is completed before Craglorn.

Of what I'm not satisfied with the Looking For Group tool, is the fact that you can't connect to Zone people anymore, I use this a lot back then.

If you have three friends to go with you, go and enjoy craglorn. If not... well, you can still go, farm for red stuff and solo some of the things in there... though I hear some of the quests really need four people due to switch-pressing puzzles or element-carrying issues. And of course the trials are a matter in themselves...

I have to admit though, soloing groups designed for groups can be very... educational. Good training. (just... avoid the lower craglorn wasps, they don't play fair  )

craglorn is great to solo. one problem though some quest force you to be with 2 or 4 people which can be quite annoying
