Help understanding Divines

Okay, so I thought I understood this but my numbers don't seem to be adding up. How exactly is the increase from divines calculated, if one pieces gives a 7.5% increase in effect (legendary).

The apprentice without any divines gives 166 SD. So one divines should increase this by (166 * 1.075) - 166, which should work out to about 12.4 increase per divines piece. However, the actual numbers are far from this, so I'm obviously interrupting something incorrectly???

Can anyone clarify???

What is the actual number? Are you getting any sources that increase spell damage? Such as Major Sorcery, Minor Sorcery or Expert Mage (Sorcerer passive). If you have Major Sorcery and say 3 Sorcerer skills slotted that 12.4 Spell Damage increase will in fact be 12.4*1.26 = 15.6

Well, the numbers are way lower than they should be, I'm seeing more like a 3.5% increase, when I switch to the apprentice my spell power goes up around 215, when on paper it should be much closer to 250

However, the attro gives me the correct increase in magic regen based on a formula of 210 + ((210 *1.075) - 210) * 7

Lol I'm 90% certain they are, I'll check when I get home, at work now.....
