Idea for a Shield Set
With the addition of new sets coming with Thieves Guild that makes dodging something more than just an avoidance ( awesome btw! ). It got me thinking about Shields. I posted this idea on MMORPG.Com as well in a thread.
Blocking with a Shield absorbs some energy of the attack ( or some percent of the amount blocked ). Using Shield Bash or a skill that uses the shield as an attack releases the energy that was stored for damage and a knockback.
The amount of time this energy is stored would have to be long enough for it to be viable but not so long that you can one shot NPCs or Players after blocking many attacks. Or possibly just up to but not exceeding a number that is based off of the armor rating of the shield.
On the other hand an easier way may be to just say " Block X attacks and your next shield attack deals X damage ".
Probably horribly explained but the base idea of a Set centered around using a Shield is viable I think.
