Who is actually using the Leeching Strikes morph ??? Or are you also using Siphoning Attacks ?

The NB Siphoning Tank is getting in real difficulties now. In the patch 2.3 Twisting Path, Caltrops, Necrotic Orb do no longer proc SA.
My own thoughts are that SA can stay as it is, and Leeching Strikes should be changed in a usefull Tank morph where you get more Magicka-Stamina back at the expense of a reduction of Damage / Spell-Weapon Power.
And I am interested to know if Leeching Strikes is currently a placeholder, or is really being used.

I kind of wish there were options for choosing both tank and damage dealer in this poll.

I use siphoning attacks when damage dealing and tanking, anyway. The other skill morph is garbage.

I used to use leeching strikes, then it to a developer to the numbers.

I wish it was still fun to use while tanking, I loves PvP where I could heal as a Nightblade tank from hitting people.

Playing almost only PvE, I use Siphoning Attacks as a NB magicka DD, would do the same as a tank. I really wonder where the other Morph would be of use, maybe PvP..?

I already expected a thread like this, because of the change in the DoT functionality. This "fix" hits NB tanks pretty hard. I agree to the TO's suggestion. Our NB tank pvped exclusively to get Caltrops for PvE tanking...

Oh sorry my bad, I use the morph that gives a 10% chance on dealing damage to restore magica and stamina.

So pve encounters go like this, activate it, go invisible, steel tornado, regain magica and stamina, go invisible, steel tornado and so on. The briar heart makes critical hits heal you. So you pretty much have infinite resources as long as you're fighting a group.

Don't think so...the health-return is so small...Even as NB-Tank i get around 2k+ heals from Funnel health, which is way more than 2% max health, while also getting some magicka/stamina back here and there...

As a DPS and Tank that uses Siphoning Attacks I am thoroughly disappointed with this change. The fact that it would proc off of DoTs was the bread and butter of the skill.

The skill will still remain useful in a lot of applications, I feel as though it will effect NB Tanking the most. As always we will adapt, although it seems like a poorly thought out change.
