Best Weapons in Game?

Are VMA weapons still considered the best weapons in game? Are there certain VMA weapons considered better or more desirable than others? I noticed with the thieves guild patch the VMA destro staff is looking very nice. What do you recommend and why?

So, which weapons have you chosen for your character end game and why?

I dont have any of them personally, but i herd the Destro staff is pretty good, unfortunately the drop rate sucks.

The sword is good.

I have the destro staff, does like an extra 400 dmg with destructive touch ability or something? Didint seem that great....

restoration staff with damage magika and restore magika enchantment

with one heavy attack (with all passives) i see fill my macicka bar a lot

What do you recommend and why? - I strongly recommend to go through the weapons tool-tip text and see what works best for your play style.

So, which weapons have you chosen for your character end game and why?- I've chosen the maelstrom 2H Sword because It makes my Critical Rush a strong opener in PVP fights and it gives me weapon damage bonus as well.

Exactly what I want... you better keep an eye on your staff...

i never use a weapon skill on my bar, thought i level up all weapons and skill to max in every my alt.
i use resto and destro on all my class for light attack - casting and for magicka regeneration when low.
7000-8000 magicka regen with 1 restoration heavy attack is not so bad, after all.
if this give a meaning to you.

*__* that resto staff sounds yummy. But the sword looks neat too i am glad to hear people enjoy it.

They are all very powerful, same with the master weapons (only those are 'only' Vr14), and most of the top tier DPS builds, including the 'highest dps achievable' ones, all use maelstrom weapons at least on one bar. (there's the sorc with overload one, yea but that one is a burst / ultimate, so it doesn't count as far as builds are concerned)

Master daggers and bow is still pretty boss imo. Maelstrom daggers are far superior though. NBS be getting stupid damage with them.
