I love emotes! To me they are an essential feature in a good mmo.
I regulary leave my character in a cool emote while im away from the game for a moe, and EVERY single time i come back to my weapon unsheathed : )
I do this mainly for the experience of other players, help the game seem more alive and abit more interesting.
But random players being able to control MY character is totally unacceptible and it needs to be fixed for good zos.
Please zos I am begging you, this griefing has been going on for a long time and it starting to make me very angry, not just at the griefers but the game aswell.

Well one of the abilties that does that is going to not be able to do that in the next update because they making it only work for being in a group no random player can use the run buff abilty to force weapons to be drawn anymore when the pts patch comes live.

I hardly consider that griefing. But it would be nice if there was an option to turn off other people's abilities affecting you, such as heals, speed boosts, etc. Grouping would automatically enable such effects so that you would still be able to get healed.

It is griefing when you clearly see players do it purposely everyday just because they know, believe me... they know.

Well, I don't know why some abilities do it, all I know is one that does, has gotten nerfed to only to affect those in groups.
So trolls that come in and do it won't be able to with that ability when thieves guild goes live.

They could just as easily say that you using emotes is griefing, and is interfering with their immersion. I wouldn't, but I don't interrupt emotes either.

so your afk and crying someone did something to you? maybe your emote was annoying. this *** goes both ways

Emoting is a huge gameplay and rp tool, it is not breaking immersion.

I am personally completely neutral on this issue, but as it seems nobody was providing the other argument I felt I'd step up.

I like leaving my Character doing an emote as I go AFK, but recently the guards keep bullying me and pushing me out the way!

All the walking npcs do it and its very annoying. Especially the walking npcs when rping would push you to the side breaking emotes.
Its why dregs is a nightmare, and also other inns that have the same walking npc problem.
So basically some walking npcs can be very annoying.
Some of the time these npcs can't be killed or attacked either so they will still walk around and break emotes.
Some players with use an abilty and it breaks emote, but they from what I seen do it once then leave, sometimes they stay and troll. But typically, the using the ability to break emotes is less annoying then the npcs that do it.

What more annoying that just every single player standing in the sane lifeless stance.

Dnt b a wally all yr life lol I aint crying at all I find it annoying that another player can to some degree have control over MY character on MY game, whether im afk or is not is not the point.

actually im playing the game, not going afk with some silly loop running, emotes are fine but what you describing is just nonsense. "I left my wallet on the curb ans someone took it,the nerve of them"!!!

What are you on about? I dont mind however you want to play its all good to me.
But not long ago you basically said players have the right to stop me from emoting and enjoying my game because they find my character standing there with his arms crosed annoying? Imo thats very sad and is probaly why its nothing something you can do in most decent mmo's.
Stop hating others because they dont play the way you, we should be here to have fun and be able to control what our character does period.
Forget the afk nonsence u keep saying obviously you didn't get a big part of the point but no surprise tbh.

Also, what if they use a skill near you that does this but were using it for the actual skill, and not to muck you up? As they're removing the ability of Rapid Manoeuvre to do this I'm not sure what you want, unless you're after bans for people who may not even know you're there?

As far as other players causing you to draw your weapon, this is being fixed with the next patch. Now there is a bug that causes you to randomly draw or sheathe your weapon too (which consequently causes you to randomly mount/dismount as well) which I hope will be fixed soon but I don't know.

I'm not sure whether to find it funny or scary that killing the NPC is considered a solution for some of those RP situations Xd
