Cyrodiil Undaunted Vendor, Prices too low?

Hey guys, what do you think of the prices regarding the monster helm sets in the upcoming update? I seen youtube footage of the PTS displaying the prices of the shoulder pieces at 100kG and 200kAP. Im unsure if the helmets share the same price tag (please let me know!) im also writing this thread under the assumption that the sets will be a random Armour category and fixed/random trait. But even still doesn't it seem very cheap for what your purchasing?

Now i know plenty of people are excited for this price and thats fine. But don't you think it's going to ruin the game in some ways. I mean sure your going to be excited when you get your brand new engine guardian set, but that excitement is going to last all but 5 minutes in PVP when you realize everyone in every alliance has one too. This is just the way i see it, but won't grinding dungeons become less appealing and PVP less exciting as undaunted sets will become a norm. What gear can you aspire to get after that? Hell if they weren't bind on purchase i could see players buying with AP and selling for gold on the tradehouses, some PVP players have millions of AP because there has been NOTHING worth buying until now.

Don't get me wrong i am all for this vendor, everybody should have the opportunity to acquire these sets just not this easily. The way i see it:

-Veteran PVE players will be able to tackle the VET dungeons to acquire the sets + accumulating some gold for the vendor
- Veteran PVP players will have enough AP to pay expensive prices and force them to pick and choose which set they want instead of buying all of them.
- Veteran Farmers/crafter can generate enough gold to buy these sets.

Just to clarify i do not own any monster sets i gank (please don't judge me im ashamed of myself as it is) and duel in PVP, for the most part i farm and sell materials, so this is not coming from a player trying to maintain his advantage on everybody else but rather someone who's worried what cyrodiil will look like come March.

As for anybody that thinks it's unfair to impose harsher restrictions on these items (AP, GOLD) why? Because you've logged 24 hours of game-play and you feel entitled to it? It should take some degree of work to achieve these sets surely you must agree. As it stands in PVP at the minute, 200 kills solo will achieve you a piece of undaunted gear as one kill un-grouped gives you around 1000 AP.

But anyway, my question is should it stay the same price? or change and if so to what?

If you get a random trait, then the price is ok. Even with this price i can imagine some unlucky players spending 500k+ in gold and not getting right trait, and that is for shoulders. If the random helms cost, lets say 200k gold, then if you strike out with 2 well fitted or sturdy helms, i would really think about spending another 200k for that gamble for best trait. I have over 1.5mil gold, but can imagine many ppl dont have half of that.

Monster Sets are crap now anyway. I dont get it, everything was ok when Zen scaled all gears but now when they are giving crappy gears to everyone, the whine is on. I would have expected alot more whining from scaling, they scaled all your hard earned VR rank gears, people dont seems to realize it, eh.

I hope so, have they stated that? or is it just that ZOS has changed prices within cyrodiil at the alliance vendors on previous PTS's?

Yeah i completely see where your coming from and you raise a good point, although i hope they come with fixed traits like impenetrable or Infused to keep PVE players a bit more happy.

Good players? When I see those odd Dwemer thign spawning I laugh.

They arent even nearly as good as they were before scaling. Before we had VR1-VR16 gears, top players had massive gear advantage, then everything was scaled, including Monster Sets.

People gotta realize Monster Sets after scaling are crap. I wont probably get one for myself.

Yes, way to low. I've spent months trying to get these sets and still don't have some of the ones I want at all and others are bad traits. Now you can just buy a set in a preferred trait for 200k!? If it was player controlled preferred traits would be 1m gold+ on guild traders depending on the set.

If Monster Sets raised your max-CP I'd probably buy them, one piece like 10 or 20 CP.

Why shouldn't these current prices be the live prices? If they are low, then how is that an issue?

From my perspective it'll *** people off that have grinded so long to get them and it will populate PVP with players that don't quite deserve them. This is a move by zenimax to even the playing field to new/returning/bad players. Which is good to an extent! They are removing CP in the Azura's Star campaign as a means to do this which is great! But don't start handing gear out for basically free.

I like the prices. Most people have some kind of monster set anyway, so now it's obtainable for those who don't. In turn, there's a 90% decrease on the AP required for alliance war skill line, so now we can all stop whining.

In all likelihood ZOS made the prices low on PTS so players could afford to buy them right away. I suspect part of it has to do with being able to get the jewelry from the vendor for some of the new set so they could be tested as opposed to the monster sets themselves.

The prices on PTS are way low particularly in respect to the prices for other "elite" items in the current game. Even those stupid motifs that the siege vendors sell are more expensive. I fully expect live price to be in the range of 1 million AP/500k+ gold.

They gave people 10000000 gold, 10000000 AP and 10000000 Tel Var Stones each on the PTS, I for one have never even gotton more then 200k AP in the 2 years I have been playing ESO as I simply don't have the time for that either and the most gold I have ever gotton is just over 500k, not all of us play this game every minute of everyday.

If you expect them to just basically give away the monster sets and thereby basically destroy the Undaunted Pledge system I think you're going to be extremely disappointed.

Agillity is about to take a massive downfall, I'd start hoarding Arcane Willpower imo for all the changes coming in, Plus for those that aren't noobs and think max stam is the be all and end all people will realise healthy agility is the way to go, 800 stam isn't even one attack lol pointless, it'd take sponging one random hit anyday over that. healthy ftw.

200k ap is ok for random trait/weight

Also crafted or drop items are better for PVP for me. Those monster sets got low chance to proc and most of them are useless.

You guy have got to realise that the undaunted vendor isn't necessarily an easy street to getting that undaunted piece you've always wanted..

There are 10 monster sets, each with 2 separate pieces, each piece with 5 possible traits, and only 1 piece of 1 set with 1 trait available per week.. That means 10 x 2 x 5 = 100 possible combinations, or possibly 100 weeks (nearly 2 years!!) until you get that perfect piece you've been waiting for.

Now imagine that perfect piece pops up on the vendor one week and you're a new or casual player who doesn't have the AP yet to buy it, the price point gives those players time to earn that AP within the week that it's available and not have to miss out and wait again for 2 years..

Some of us have millions of AP saved up or can earn 200k in a couple of days without too much trouble but for the majority of players that isn't the case and at the end of the day this game is for everyone.

Naw, it's nice to have something to do with AP. At least I can afford these unlike the Akaviri motifs xD
