Hello, I played this game for a few months when it started. The few things I did like were the mass amount of cool stories, the changing world and mass world, in adition to most quest being voice told.

Stating that, I was a mage and due to most quest chaining and changing the world few if no one could help. So it be hard to play with my friends. In addition with only able to set five or six abilities it felt extremely repetitive. I remember doing some type of imprison move then delay fireball or something to most bosses, even world bosses and win. I was lored away by Arcgeage and FFXi, my old game. I found this game had to recommend to a friend if we couldn't do much together. I am more a Pve and adventure player type. I don't care much for pvp.

So anyway it has been a year or more. I see three new download packages, and other systems. Is the game worth investing o or should I just forget about buying the three new packs and seeing all updates. I do hope the game has evolved more then two or three abilities from lvl 10 to v6.

Thanks for any isight.

There are a lot of abilities here and a fair bit more stuff to do. Are you a quester? If so, you'll enjoy a lot of the game, the Orsinium DLC too. I'd recommend giving it a try, because what do you really lose if you decide you still don't like it afterwards?

Oh, and what platform/megaserver would you be playing on?
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

I play on the PC, I a rank six. I think I will have to relookup all skills an morphs. I forgot most and seems they reset all.

I always did feel I would pay twenty or thirty dollars every few months for PvE content, if they kept up quest and stories. I still not sure if I could do them with friends due to them being incensed. It seems no new skills were added though, new skills or morphs. I will buy those two expansions.

While I loved Archeage for gliding on a glider and finding hidden farms it always blew my mind that you were basically rolling dice to see if you gear stays same, upgrades or self destructs. hence it go boring. FFXI has added much content and is PvE as well.

A lot of the ESO crowd is actually here for the Lore I should probably point out, so if you didn't go and play the single player games and enjoy them thoroughly then you may not find what you're looking for here. The big differences from other MMO's that I've noticed include the lack of skill cooldowns (there are 1sec global ones on skills, but not big ones) which makes for a more involved-feeling combat, and the heavy focus on questing/some soloing (fully voiced everything too!). The only real group content is Group Dungeons and Trials, for 4 and 12 players respectively. If you like the challenge of soloing everything then you'll probably like this game, if you like running raids very often like in WoW then you probably won't be here long sadly.

If you subscribe to the game it's $15 a month, and you get free access to the DLC's whilst subbed, so you can try them out without buying them up outright.
