Puncturing Sweeps is getting nerfed

Reading another thread about TG update I saw the healing from sweeps has been reduced from 40% down to 35%. So they finally fix the stupid knock back giving free immunity but then nerf the healing we get. Why does Zos seem determined to screw templars by matching every buff we get with a nerf that offsets the improvement. This is something that should cause an uproar and I hope other Templars will stand up and tell them they've gone to far with this ninja nerf they didn't even have the guts to post in the PTS patch notes.

✭✭✭✭✭That means if toppling charge is ever fixed, to where it doesn't have a crippling global cooldown after, it will probably be stealthed nerfed to where it debuffs your healing for 5 seconds after you land.

patch notes will of DB will state when get healed by BoL. reduce healing recieved by 100% for 600 seconds. just wait. i am hammering the coffin for my argonian templar right now2 -
Praeficere✭✭✭✭The 'Focused Healing' passive from the Restoring Light line (on PTS) now gives you 'Major Mending' which increases all of your healing by 30%. While the Puncturing Sweep heal itself has been lowered, the 35% is now increased by -25- 30% while you have the buff.

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Casting Ritual also costs resources and is time when you're not casting a damage/damage buff ability, so if you want to avoid the healing nerf then you're suffering from a DPS nerf.Praeficere wrote: »

To be honest, though, I don't think the amount of the healing reduction is significant enough for this nerf to be a big deal in PVE. Currently on live I can keep myself at full health nearly indefinitely just by spamming Sweeps. Now I might have to actually pay attention to my health bar a little, but I should still have really good self-sufficiency by using Sweeps. I can't really speak to what the implications of this change are to PVP, but I don't think the heal from this skill was ever very effective in PVP.

I'm not suggesting that I find it convenient to have to place down either Cleansing Ritual or Focus to increase BoL to what it should, but in the end there's little impact on gameplay to what it is on Live on this matter specifically.
-For clarity, this mostly regards PvP- When you're fighting in a situation to have Cleansing Ritual down for BoL increases, the increased healing to Puncturing Sweep is welcome.
As for PvE, if you're going to be using Puncturing Sweep on some mobs, it's mostly able to be kept quite comfortably within the area of Cleansing Ritual.
Not touching on whether or not the healing from Puncturing Sweep as it is on Live needs a buff or not... with 'Major Mending', it would heal for a tad bit more than perhaps ZOS would like. As it is now, it heals far more than enough.
I don't see this issue on THIS matter specifically.

But its ok that DK's will get Major Mending by activating an ability that doesn't require them to be within a certain "zone" and will be receiving 75% healing from the damage they cause from a spamable ability?????NA PC | AD

I am on this thread discussing the changes to Puncturing Sweep healing on PTS to Live. If you wish to express your disagreement at the changes, that is fine by me - however, I will comment if I have something to say on what is said on the forums.
As for your remark, yes I am passionate about Magicka DK healers.. although what that's to do here, I don't know...it is often an unrealised but distinctive way on healing compared to the more common used class for healing, Templars. Both are good, and everyone is welcome to play what they like.
In addition to my DK, I also play regularly on my Magicka Templar as a Heal-Tank, often as a Healer as well. Heal-Tanking will be harder if the changes go through, however I accept this as I believe the change to be a positive one elsewhere, reasons I have said in other posts.But we all get it @Praeficere, you're over the moon that your DK healer is not only going to compete with Templars but possibly out perform, Kudos, now stop trolling the Templar threads....

I usually DPS on my DK so not really....and when I have a healer casting that...and by BoL you mean sweeps? If you mean did I heal without placing Da Beeeeeg Circle - of course not, but we're not talking about that.
We're talking about having to basically cast a heal ourselves to DPS. This = lame.

Nobody is this thread cares about your DK, go start another thread if you want to discuss your character. This topic isn't about DK, or the nerf to BoL. It's about Zeni unnecessarily nerfing something else every time they give Templars a buff ( or even when they don't, last patch blazing spear got nerfed though no one ever complained it does too much damage) so we stay at or near the bottom of the DPS charts.Praeficere wrote: »@SirDopey
