So huge update but nothing about fixing lag. Im sorry things got nerfed but still lot of issues and things broken. Can we please get the lag fixed in PVP pleeeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeeee

Efforts to fix lag are continuous. Thus far they have been trying tweaks on the server to see what works and what doesn't. Basically trying to fix it by trial and error.

Seeing as how certain skills are being graphically changed, it may or may not improve lag. We'll just have to see. Far as I know, Azura Star and Haderus are the laggiest in PS4. Don't know about the other ones.

They`ll never fix the lag that way cyrodiil is running smooth with 100 players in the same place, not in 1 and not in 5 years.

Maybe they could be like, "No more Doritos for the panther skin people until that damn lag gets reduced!"

I'm not going to pretend to understand today's computer programming ins and outs, but by the way that one guy was trying to explain how objects interact in an environment on their servers, won't something with more animation cause more of a load?

I honestly don't know so forgive my ignorance on the subject, but won't sparkly cats running around Cyro be more of a load than plain cats?

1st off they have acknowledge lag many of times

Lag is something that's ongoing and they trying to fix it they talk about it clearly you don't watch the eso live episodes

It will forever be hard to fix lag in 300 vr 300 at a small keep with a bunch of calculations going off so maybe people mindsets might change and they switch servers or NOT STACK On Crown

Honestly, I am beginning to wonder if ESO has the competence to fix the lag, after over a year. I also think you may have hit the nail on the head with "Yeah man, lag sucks. Good Luck guys".

So until ZOS fixes the lag or at least make it playable when it strikes, then these post will and should continue. I also doubt folks would be silent and take it up the backside if they had to deal with 1-13 fps while doing boss fights in dungeons or trials.

So if seeing these post annoys or bothers folks, ..Well just don't click on them.

Good point, and I typically try to avoid these types of threads or if I stumble into one I don't comment! As I said in my first post I'm truly wondering if people believe that a company whose success rests on people being able to enjoyably use their product would overlook, shrug off, or outright ignore a big issue. Also stated above (not by me but I agree) that the devs have acknowledged lag multiple times and that they're looking for a fix or ways to make it better.

Further, I really fail to see how calling them incompetent, money grabbers, drunks, or any other number of insulting things I've seen tossed around on these threads makes them want to work any harder on it. The language here gets downright abusive.

I find lag frustrating also, but the approach some folks take here doesn't seem to make sense or to be helpful. I'll withold further commentary because I think I've made my point which is: when I see people saying things like "oh so a vanity pet or costume or <fill in the blank> takes priority over lag" or similar things I'm just left scratching my head wondering if they really believe that or if they just lost a keep and need to beat up on something. (but can't beat up on something without the screen skipping, haha. <--levity)

i think the lagg issue show the competence of ZOS really. because this is one of many things they can't get done in game. other things like class balance and broken skills take WAY WAY to long really. things that feel like random like 50% healing reduction or damage or absolutly 0 stam regen when blocking. why choose those numbers enlighten us, or can't you because they are picked at random. for me it feels like its the last one. which is a shame because it has so mutch potential and i love the TES lore

I think after all this time, that ZOS can not fix the lag due to coding or lack of desire to put the resources required to get the job done. I am now starting to believe ZOS is only working on pushing out DLC as fast as possible and not worrying if the dlc works as long as all the gear is BOP so they force folks to buy that DLC.

Why do I think this. That's easy for me,...There isn't anything else out there and they know this as well. So they are in the mode of operation we see. They will give lip service to fixing things,. But actions speak louder then words.

They also know that when games like Camelot unchained goes live the PvP population will tank heavy and all those customers will be gone so they are on the money train as long as it keeps movin.

I wish I did not feel this way, But ZOS has not given me any reason to believe them or believe they can do it, as their past tells us.

I like(ed) this game. It has a lot of things going for it, and if they surprise me and actually get their S&^T together and before new games are released then they will avoid that fate because gammers are very short in memory.

Its not just PvP lag, but RNG everything now BoP and a other annoying things that has lead me to feel this way about them.

Some decent points there. With a few other mmo's set to come out in Q1-2, I wonder if they are throwing some DLC our way to see how many stick around before they decide to invest what it would actually take to fix the problems. Not a bad decision on their part, but not so good for the gamer. Given the interest shown for the skinny panda mount, it might work.
