Limiting gear to DLC is pay to win. The only benefit players should get from DLC is access to new areas/dungeons. THAT'S fair. Everyone should be on a level playing field...Besides, grinding AP is MUCHHHH harder (if your're bad) than doing those lame dungeons no one cares about.
I'm not sure if that's true. The vendor on PTS is currently only selling one specific shoulder, but from my understanding that will switch to another piece, which may be a shoulder or may be a helm. The vendor does not sell head pieces, only shoulders.
Is this true? I'm an ESO+ subscriber, so I wouldn't know, but is it possible to get Kena and Lord Warden shoulders from undaunted keys if you don't have access to the DLC?You can get those without buying the DLC by doing daily normal and veteran dungeons.

Are you a PVP player? your bothers and sisters in arms just got stronger, and your competition just got better.
Either way, it doesn't make your set any less valuable to you... so "fair" doesn't really come into it.

I am a pve player and yes it does affect me. Becasue now all those pvp ppl wont be even looking in group finder anymore. So much means even less players to choose from. Which will mean even worst experience when using group finder.
Ask all your pvp friends, if they will be doing any dungeons after the patch? They will say no the only reason I did dungeons was to try for the helm but now I can get the helm here so I might as well farm for ap.
rozwellite wrote: »Also think about how it will affect pvp. Now you will have even more pve noobs in pvp because they won't be learning to play in a dungeon. But they will all prolly be in the sewers, so don't expect them to be up top helping with keeps.

i have spent hours farming these sets and it wouldnt be fair

You have to do stupid stuff u don't want to do over and over and over again. Thats when you fill like you have "earned" it. None of the monster sets should be available to sell. I am sorry guys but if people don't want to put in the hard work to get they shouldn't get it. It takes doing dungeons over and over to the gear. Sorry you don't like doing dungeons well I don't really like doing them either but I do them because I know I have to. PVP that want to spend their whole time pvping thats fine its how you play the game but what I don't understand is why is zosing now just giving the stuff away. Sorry guys but this is not how an mmo works and zos this is the kind of stuff that breaks the game. Because guess what now ppl wont be grinding dungeons cause they wont have to. So less and less poeple will be doing dungeons. There is no incentive to run the dungeon over and over. Why should they when they can just pvp and get ap while "doing what they want to".

Just like it's horrible to have PVE players in PVP, it's likewise bad to have PVP players in PVE, when you're not doing what you enjoy to do, you put no effort into it. I can't even count the number of times I've heard "I'm just here for vigor/proxy det" and had someone not listening to crown, standing around getting killed and hardly contributing.
Also, it's not like the vendor is just going to have an inventory of ALL the sets, and the pieces are expensive enough that anyone who hasn't been PVPing, probably doesnt have enough AP to buy them, thus making the RNG grind a viable option.rozwellite wrote: »Also think about how it will affect pvp. Playing in a dungeon and playing out int he field is vastly different and require 2 separate skill sets. Any "newbie" with enough gold or AP to buy the set so they can PVP in that gear is ok in my book, my guildmates would be more than happy to show them the ropes and guide them into being great PVP players, but we can't do that with a PVE player whos in PVP for the skill line, and plans to leave afterwards. Theres still the whole undaunted skill line, who's passives are still highly valued by players, I don't see you having trouble finding a group anytime soon. I mean, did you stop PVEing when you got your set?
Butttttttttt Now my PVE friends are going to start bitching cause they want caltrops but they suck at PVP ugh FML............

At 200k AP, it's not like every player will be able to purchase every peice.
Im pretty savy, and even then (admittedly at worst pvp times) I earned roughly 400k AP in 30 days....
That's two peices for 30 days worth of game play, with no side drops, decon mats, gold etc... for the vast majority of players, it will still be well worth it to run dungeons.
Ill especially be in the PUGger once they NERF my pet build.

I knew someone was going to say it wasn't a lot. It's a lot for anyone new just getting into PVP, or anyone not in a PVP guild, or casual PVP players. Veteran PVP players who have had nothing to spend AP on for a while certainly have PLENTY to spend, but I personally feel 200k is a fine hurdle, it's a few days worth of work if you're starting fresh and do nothing but PVP, a month's worth if you're casual, and people like me who have held onto their AP and more-or-less have refused to do the PVE necessary, can now buy them when they appear.
