I am not overwhelmed. The 5 pcs. is only good when fighting groups, not in 1v1's. Would i trade it for the 5 pcs. bonus on Seducer or Julianos? Do not think so, to be honest. This is one of those set's, that quickly becomes "gimicky", and the real world use of it, is very very very rare.

But for Guild vs. Guild or just engaging in Zerg vs. Zerg - yes, it will be awesome. But that will 100% depend on wether you need killing blow or not.

If you need killing blow, this set will ONLY work in 1vX. And for that, many other sets are better.

I can see this happening, where they can guarantee if one of there group gets the kill they will proc the explosion, but in huge group v group fights getting the killing blow could be rare so not much people using it

This set and the new siege damage is really going to boost small groups against the mega zergs it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out

Had not considered killing blow, but for 1vX it's going to be awsome. In any case, if you are a sorc, it is sufficient to cast endless fury and allow the final explosion to assign killing blow to you

This set may be the answer to the zergs in cyrodiil, combined it with magicka detronation and if you manage to kill at least 1 player then BOOM!!!, you will probably take out half of the zergers at once and if they die....BOOM!!! and repeat.

I would like to know if the explosion itself counts as you hitting. As in, if I can kill someone in the middle of a zerg and cause a chain reaction (first explosion kills someone else, who also explodes and kills another, who also explodes, and so on).

I do not think this will be the case, although it would be quite the firework show! In any case we would need someone to test this

@dsalter Curious, why is this? I am a Templar so I don't know much about DK's.

Because dunmers have fire damage bonus as part of their racial skills and DKs specialize in fire damage. I would add that this plays well with altmers since they have elemental damage bonus too (which includes fire).

Is the explosion on a timer or immediately upon death? What is the radius of the explosion? These sort of things should always be included in the tooltip

We don't know these things yet, they need to be tested. I guess the radius will be similar to that of magicka det and there will be no timer. But it may turn out to be different

Magicka Dunmer DKs will be exposing utilizing the flame dmg too.... time to respec into Magicka

On a serious note, I think this will be a very interesting set to see, and cannot wait to actually see how people incorporate it into builds.

My point though is this information should not have to be tested by players and just "figured out" - it needs to be on the tooltip. This is one of my biggest issues in ESO, especially the console version; the lack of information

I was actually thinking of replacing 5 julianos with 5 vicious deaths: 5 vicious, 2 Torugs, 1 kena, 3 Willpower. This set would definitely be better for 1vX. But for 1v1 and PVE I would prefer 5 Julianos

It's like they looked at 1vXers, realized they couldn't wipe groups that know what they are doing, and decided to give them something that would make it possible. I'm all for 1vXing, it's really cool, but this is like, the raid wiper set. That's crap.

i don't think it's as good as most people think. although it does not say how big the explosion area is + the 50% damage reduction. sorc wont feel a thing when 3 people die around him
