Selling PC/console character transfers, without the abuse (an idea)

A lot of people have asked about the possibility of ZOS selling character transfers between PC/console (and vice versa) in the Crown Store. But some people have also wisely pointed out that this would have a lot of potential for abuse (item and money duping, trade guild exploits, throwing off economies, etc.). But I think there may be a way for ZOS to sell unlimited character transfers back-and forth without the abuses or complications. So hear me out on this.

What if character transfers applied the "Terminator" principle--namely that transferred characters could only come across "naked," with no money, no items, and no equipment? Only the character itself could be transferred, nothing else. That would seem to me to eliminate most of the potential for abuse and still allow for anyone willing to pay-up to transfer their characters back-and-forth whenever they wanted to. Want to play on the PC for a while, no problem! Just cough up X Crowns. Want to then transfer that character back to a console? No problem, just pay again. But no bringing your money and stuff with you, Kyle Reese. You go naked.

They could even sell server and faction transfers or PS/Xbox transfers the same way.

I honestly think it's more an issue with transferring data from the actual servers and the various rules of the PSN and Xbox Live.

I think if ZOS COULD... they would.

I love the idea of the Terminator method though.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

I transferred from PC to PS4, I would pay a good amount to be able to transfer back, naked account or not.

I don't think they can. The one and only 'transfer' they offered was a copy and paste of the character to a new server. With the PTS they wipe and then put a new copy on. I don't think they can do a copy on to a current live server without putting everything into maintenance for a long time to clear and then install a copy of everything on to the server. I can't see them offerring to do it again.

18 characters, 17 max level, at least 1 Stam and 1 Mag of every class, 1 of every race and 1200+ CP

Tanked to Undaunted 9+ Mag and Stam of every class using Group Finder for 90+% of the Vet Dungeon runs

You did not even address CP.

    Nice plan...
