@Cazzy nooooo! One of the steadily decreasing friendly players here and you're planning on leaving altogether :/ if it makes you feel any better I reported the...person who was being particularly nasty.

As UrQuan says though, definitely come back for TG, I'll be looking forward for another pleasant voice to discuss it with :)

I used to be able to play for hours on end, now it's a good day if I can stay on for 30 minutes without going afk for ages and then just logging out.
All I'm interested in is PVP, but it's becoming stagnant because they haven't done anything with it in a long time. Next two DLCs are PVE content so I'm sure you'll have more dungeons and trials to compete in, but for me things will remain the same.
If IC got some love that would be enough to keep me going until something bigger, but they don't seem too interested in doing anything with PVP. Before you all jump down my throat with "but they said X".. yeah, they said we'd have a pvp justice system - how did that turn out? Promises is all we're given. Changes is what we need.

I never said it wasn't a good thing. I just think it is a little misleading when you call your site a gaming company.

And about your comment of seeing people in other games I think you should if you have hit a wall here you need something different. As I said I'm my first comment, which was my response to your OP, you need to diversify your gaming portfolio. Too much of any one thing is not good.

You should be proud of what you are doing. Will it be as big as dulfy.net only time will tell. I just think you should call it a gaming website not a company as that sounds more like development.

I'm really sorry to see you go Cazzy. Such a bright and hopeful flame for ESO seems to have been extinguished far too quickly. I think this thread is a great example of how full of seething bile this forum has become. Anymore I feel like I'm wasting my time on here because if you have ANY criticisms of ZOS the White Knights come out in their bloodstained tabards to defend ZOS and ESO and slay any who oppose them.

This thread was trying to appeal to ZOS to ask them to make ESO a more engaging product. To explain that many players do NOT want to just run trials until the next DLC is out. A good deal of the customer base are MMO players, sure, but a lot of us are here because of TES alone and in TES titles we're used to being able to "make our own fun" so to speak.

ESO is missing emergent fun! And the forumites trash OP personally.

    Stay classy ESO forum. :disappointed:

@Cazzy If you are looking for players to RP with I would suggest checking out:

    1.) https://thehumanfloyd.wordpress.com/
    2.)http://teso-rp.com/

Those are both good spring-boards to helping you find players in ESO that role play.

As far as the ESO-LULs of not sure what to do next, I myself go in and out of them a lot lately. I manage a guild (which keeps me busy), but lately many of my members have drifted from ESO mostly because of the issues with PvP and the lack of anything new and meaningful happening to it. If it wasn't for the guild management I too would not be spending much time in ESO right now.

I would suggest maybe some personal goals..... Have you completed achievements, zones, collected all the lore books/sky shards, etc? Maybe try new builds on your toons (?).

Unfortunately there is no real "end game" to ESO right now with Trials not being scaled and just plain stale content (or lack of it) at max level. So if you are the end game grouping type it is very weak.

    I feel you...

I've been doing almost the same thing, although I log in everyday to farm my enlightened CP, and do the Crafting Writs. Then I log off...
I used to farm Laurels and undaunted keys too, but it takes so long to find a full group to run dungeons (if I'm even able find any), so I just quit trying.

Canceled my sub and the remaining time ran off, so I don't have access to the DLCs anymore, but whatever really...

I say if Eso had some sort of battle ground for players it woul be a repeatable content for rewards like a dungeon or such with a spin on them. This would take some work and thought and programing into it but it would be cool.

A dungeon of sorts that changes. Not specifically the layout of the dungeon but rather the monsters in the dungeons and bosses. That every time you run this encounter it changes making it like a new world every time.

Or even add a Dungeon Editor. That you can create a playable dungeon for your friends or for other groups to partake in for an additional challenge or fun. Could have x amount of spending points( or not) per room for monsters traps or random events(you reach a certain area and monsters spawn in from another dimension to surprise you.) And once you finish creating your own said dungeon you have the option of seeing how it plays through before publishing it to the new create a dungeon section of group finder(?) This mode of seeing how it plays through you would be in (developer mode aka invincible) just to see if the mechanics work as you intend( reaching a certain spot and monsters spawning and things of that nature.) then once you publish the dungeon it is open for others to see and participate in( even yourself.) Drops(if any) would be based on the bosses being taken on(not the player who created it.) Once you publish the created dungeon you can no longer go in the developer mode(god mode) in that dungeon only as the char you play as(unless you edit the dungeon .)

    What do you think?

I've been close to that a few times. But I've found things that I hadn't done, and did them. Master Angler was one I spent quite a bit of time on. Another time I pretty much just did trading (buying & selling mostly - traveling each day from trader to trader looking for interesting deals) to see if I could get into the top 20 sales of one of the largest trade guilds (I did, and after a while moved on to other things). I've popped in and out of PvP - it really isn't bad if you just look at it as an experience and not get hung up on the crap that happens when things lag out, or dwell too much on kills and ap (I don't run in groups, so don't see the personality issues you speak of - and it makes it easier to just go in and out on a whim). I haven't done much with the justice system, but with thieves guild coming out, it is a perfect time for me to look into exploring that some more (I guess be dammed with being a do-gooder hero!). So there have been some slow times, but at least for me I continue to find there is fun to be had!

Heck I think anything similar would be fun even without any significant rewards(if any.) Just to have something more to do. I mean heck some people would prob spend most their time just making new dungeons. I know some people find that an amazing feature. @Gidorick I will probably send the idea to a dev and see what they say haha

    This is getting weird again...

Burnout is very real... I'm actually going through it as we speak.

For me, it's not that there is nothing to do in the game; rather, everyone now and again, I just don't feel like doing anything in the game.

I have v16s of each class (multiples of a couple) and have now resorted to lowbie PvP with a friend whose play time only matches up with mine on weekends. I have my #1 DK spot on vMA for NA, tanking current trials bores me to tears, vet dungeons make me cringe, and completed Cadwell's Gold twice.

I'm going to play super casually until TG drops... probably stream some PTS shenanigans, build a new computer, say hi to the wife...

The good thing is that this will pass. I was burned out before Craglorn, IC, and Orsinium, only to return after their releases feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Delete all your characters, donate a large part of your gold and start at the bottom of the heap. I'm not being sarcastic, I have more fun at the lowest levels than any other part of the game. Sometimes it's the struggle that makes it enjoyable. Maybe just take a break from the game for a while and see if you miss it.

This is actually not a bad suggestion. As much as I love EVE online for example, I sometimes get to a point where I feel like Cazzy in ESO - this is the right time to play or do something else and come back once the urge for blade and shield returns. Or maybe just see it as a kind of vacation, relax and do not think about combat, but just enjoy the landscapes of Tamriel, make photos of regions you like under certain different lighting conditions and so - there is a lot of beauty in this game, seen at the right time of day and in the right lighting. I sometimes just stop and pause to take the atmosphere in, just enjoying it doing nothing else. You don't have to be permanently active in the game, just enjoy your virtual life, don't put pressure on yourself.

Edit: Ah well, I have to correct it, I do not suggest to delete your characters, just to have a break or see Tamriel as a vacation destination.
