Is it possible to upload my character to PTS and them back?

I was thinking to try out Thieves Guild on PTS when it will be on, but best would be if I could try it out with my character that I play at the regular megaserver, not some template character on PTS.

Is it somehow possible to upload my character from regular megaserver to PTS, play some Thieves Guild and have fun and earn some skil points and exp points and then upload my character with all these gained points back to the regular megaserver?

No. A copy of your character will be on the PTS at some point (I see that you're EU, so your character copy will be there in 2 weeks, as the NA character copies will be up first), but you can't ever take that character from PTS back to live. This is because it would be massively exploitable. PTS tends to have bugs and balance issues to be worked out, so it would often be very easy to get a ton of stuff there that you couldn't get nearly as easily on live. Also, with far fewer people playing, there's less competition for nodes and such, so you could go and farm Craglorn for nirnhoned, or Wrothgar for VR15-16 mats, or Imperial City for TV stones.

It's not only that: Creating a character with a template you'd automatically get 300 champion points and all the Imperial City, Orsinium and now probably Thieves Guild sets for free with no effort. There will never be a copy from PTS to live servers and there should never be one.

True - even if you're only bringing your actual character copy back to live, you could still create a template character to get all of the gear, and transfer the gear to your character copy through the bank, so that when you got back to live you'd have everything.

The reason they can copy live characters to PTS is because they wipe all character data off PTS first. Same deal as the one-time console deal. You can only copy when there's a clean server.

But, hey, good job on suggesting that they wipe the live server so you can have a little bit of free progress. Everybody needs a daily laugh...

That's not actually true. All it would take is an insert statement to insert records into the relevant tables of the database. Without an automated system for doing so it would be a very manual process with a fairly high possibility of errors, but it's definitely possible without wiping character data. Not practical on anything but a very rare exception basis, but definitely possible.
