Alchemy Writs need a Purpose.

If other crafters are like me, they probably have 100's of all the Alchemy ingredients and reagents.

If this is so then, what is the point in the Alchemy Writs, other than getting 600 gold and some inspiration, which doesn't matter at all because chances are you are max alchemy.

Other writs have purposes to do them:

Enchanting, Woodworking, Clothing, Blacksmithing: Legendary crafting materials that are rare and very useful and surveys.

Provisioning: Ingredients and Very Rare recipe fragments to sell or learn.

Alchemy: Ingredients and surveys for even more ingredients. Both that you don't need.

Something needs to be put inside Alchemy writs to make them worthwhile and to encourage people to do them. Maybe add a small chance to get some kind of rare thing. But just, something that gives the excitement of opening the reward bags because at the moment they are just, kinda pointless.

By what reason?- they have nothing in common beside that they are used for the crafting writ mechanics.

Alchemy writs are easy and you get back more from them than you put in. Not sure why you wouldn't want to do them.

This basically. They give me herbs and water. Maybe we could stick a rare purple herb in alchemy writs for supa spechul potions? but meh.

There already is the chance of getting glass motif fragments, so rare item check, but they could definitely add more. But personally I don't see a problem with Alchemy writs. Whenever I have too many ingredients I sell them in guild store, that way I get gold and others can benefit from my OCD harvesting ^^
Also, the surveys are great for giving you an extra push towards the "Harvester" achievement

I always appreciate the surveys when they drop. Alchemy writs are painless and not hard on inventory so I don't mind to do them for the gold and xp. It would be cool for there to be a purple or gold alchemy drop, but the life of potions is so short and purple/gold drops in the game are so rare, I'm not sure it would be worth it if it were a reagent or solvent.

...unless...what if the special ingredient allowed exponential production? Like instead of getting 3 potions per craft (if you have the Chemistry skill maxed) you could get say, 30 potions? This would scale to whatever your Chemistry skill is. That would be helpful for those who try to produce stacks at a time, and would also make having an alchemy hireling worth it.

Instead of 3 Reagents per coffer, they need to make like 20.

Imagine 20 Columbine in a coffer.
