so when they get rid of vet lvls are they going to stay at lvl 50? how are they going to scale the stats so all the hard work for getting the equipment isnt lost in time and mean nothing im still kinda confused on this matter.

They replacing veteran rank with champion rank ( cp ) so every vr rank = 10 cp so if you are wearing vr 12 gear it will become cp 120 gear same thing for adds and bosses.

this is how it will work yeah 160 cp for vet 16 gear just imagine how powerful 501 gear will be >.>

so I think there's gna be another round of nerfs after the armor starts going higher

Are we sure that's the conversion rate they're going to use?

My main character is VR2 and has about 80 CPs. If her CPs are converted the way you describe, I'll immediately be able to use VR8 gear. That would be rad and all, but it seems a little fishy when most people probably have more CPs than (their VR level x 10).

This is the conversion they've talked about, but nothing is final yet. They don't want anyone to lose access to gear they have so they are being fairly conservative with the 10 CP per VR conversion.

No, that's only if you are below that value. If you're above 10 times your VR in CPs, you get 2.5 CPs per rank on conversion. If you're below 10 times your VR in CPs, you get bumped to exactly that value.

    So if you're VR4 with 100 CPs, you'll go up to 110 CPs (100 + 4 * 2.5); if you're VR4 with 3 CPs, you'll go up to 40 CPs (4 * 10).
    If you're VR16 with 300 CPs, you'll go up to 340 CPs (300 + 16 * 2.5); if you're VR16 with 80 CPs, you'll go up to 160 CPs (16 * 10).

    If you're VR Z with Y CPs:
    • If Y + Z * 2.5 < Z * 10 then Y = Z * 10
    • If Y + Z * 2.5 > Z * 10 then Y = Y + Z * 2.5

As far as we know they are planing on getting rid of vet ranks with darkbrotherhood dlc.
Basically whats been said. Don't expect them to go til they release dark brotherhood, which is the plan.

Yep....I often think they have this idea and that idea but honestly, they (ZOS) need to keep anything CP unassociated with VR.

I don't think they will scale gear up. Most probably 160CP - 501CP will all be VR16 equivalent gear.

Ugh. I HATE the idea of using CPs for gear requirements.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

You'll go up to 140 + (9 * 2.5) = 162.5. The current plan for gear is that VR1 gear will become gear which requires 10 CPs, all the way up to VR16 gear requiring 160 CPs. But along with a number of other people, I don't like the idea of having gear which requires a certain number of CPs. Gear can be tied into CPs, and that would be fine, but no gear should require a certain number of CPs.

    Yeah, just like reaching VR16...
(Except you will still be progressing, as you'll be continuing to get CPs towards the next cap.)

i like a sort of progression but nothing to dramatic, its nice to feel like you are still getting stronger. But i dont want anything to complicated and unbalanced
