M'aiq In Alik'r Desert

Has anyone found M'aiq in Alik'r Desert recently? I have been to the Easterly Aerie camp looking for him about 2 to 3 times a day for five days now. I may just be super unlucky (probably am), or that silly cat just hates me.

Is there any other known locations for him here? I searched, but Google only has this one location for the first few pages of results.

In Alik'r, I never found him in the camp spot either - but later when I went back to finish a boss, I accidentally saw someone in the near-by lighthouse. Went in to find the lost, lying but oh-so-very- welcome khajit...

- PS: The coordinates for lighthouse 48,37. Nearby boss in Forsaken Hearts Cave. Nearest wayshrine Aswala Stables.

BtW, just encountered him hiding behind some rocks above the sandblown mine, for those still wondering about other places he can be found in the desert...

This. Aside from being a great add-on in general, Destinations is particularly helpful if you like M'aiq.

I've found him once at the Aerie camp when I was on a "Find M'aiq" event with my guild. But like @sweetsapling, I was going for the WB when I saw someone in the lighthouse and that's where I first found him in Alik'r.

If you get 1 or 2 more players in a group, it's actually quite fun to go on a M'aiq hunt. Just have one person go to each spawn point and there's a pretty good chance that one of you will find him. Then just keep him entertained until the others show up.

I found him in the Alik'r Desert last night. Don't remember where. For me he has been a lot easier to find now than in my first two play through's.

I can't find him in either Easterly Aerie nor near Forsaken Heart's Cave. According to the Destination addon, he appears in the southeastern corner of the map which seems impossible to get to? His location stated in the 3rd seems to be outside of the map's boundaries.

Am I just unlucky or he spawns so infrequent that he doesn't appear in either places sometimes?

This is where i found him also, he was literally right above the mine entrance, behind some rocks ...

Near Forsaken Heart's Cave, he can also appear inside the tower that you pass along the way. That's where I found him the first time.

There appears to be a bug with M'aiq in the Alik'r Desert. Like the OP I looked for many days (and posted a where's M'aiq thread to the forum in frustration) but he does eventually show up. You can go to all the locations he is supposed to appear at and not find him -- this works in every other zone in the game, BTW. So, you have to try all the spots, if he doesn't appear quit the game and restart, then try again. Repeat until that damn Khajiit shows up. It took me 3 re-starts to get him the last time.

I met M'aiq once in Daggerfall at the shoreline near the harbor, But M'aiq is done talking, so I went bothering someone else.
