New Item Idea: Transfusion Stone

The concept of the item is simple. It takes the stats and set abilities of one item and morphs it to the appearance of another both items being destroyed and the new item emerging. Possibly purchable in packs of 7. No more monster helms/shoulders of you don't want to! What do you all think?

Not a real fan to be honest. It's good some things are there and unchangeable, e.g. the 2 pieces monster sets. See someone with Valkyn Skoria helmet and shoulders? You instantly know the meteors might proc.

Personally, on a non-pvp view, sure it would be a nice thing, although highly situational as well. While it is nice to look exactly the way you want to look, I also like characters being different due to the items they're wearing.

This is already a non-issue since you can wear costumes.

Every mmo I've played already has this kind of thing. I don't get why this game can't keep up.

I already hate that you can use costumes to hide what kind of armour you're wearing in pvp. No need to add additional ways to mismatch armour appearance and protection.

You obviously never came across this before, so let me explain why this would NOT be an issue.

Armour can only be appearance swapped from light to light, med to med and heavy to heavy in all the MMOs I've played with this system (WoW, GW2, Aion).

    So, no issue with confusion.

They will still appear in the same armor weight.

So you're basicly asking to be able to change the style of an item, as we can do with the imperial style? Then I don't see any problems as long as you can't change unique items like monster helmets.

Sort of. For example, say if I have a bosmer light chest and my vr16 set robe of whatever, and I combine the two to make my robe look like the bosmer chest but keep the high stats.

The restriction on monster helmets sounds reasonable to me. As long as most things can have appearance altered, I'm happy.
