I wouldn't really call midnight "prime time". Personally I think midnight is a pretty sensible time to do maintenance and wish EU had maintenance that early!

Well it's right in the middle of my prime time, 10 pm in the Mountain time zone. Kids are in bed, house is picked up, time to hit up ESO... oh maintenance.

I really don't think there's any possible time that won't be inconvenient for someone. I mean, midnight EST (assuming that's what they meant by 12AM: see the link I posted above for why it's not generally a good idea to use the term "12AM") is 9PM for me, which is right in the middle of the time period when I can typically play.

Well Midnight EST is 9 PM PST which is considered prime time for west coast folks. But there is no time of day that is perfect for everyone so I have no complaints about this.

As we'll be taking down all megaservers, we did our best to choose a time that would have the least amount of impact. That said, it is close to impossible not to choose someone's prime time.

This is a one-off maintenance due to the software upgrades we're making. Regular maintenance for patches and reboots will still be the same day/time we've been doing.

The bold part is why I'm not actually complaining, despite the fact that this maintenance will hit my own prime time.

Makes perfect sense to me.

They want to do most of the servers on Tuesday and in order to do that it is necessary to start early.

It does seem to be prime time on Xbox NA server at least. The campaigns seem to have the highest populations around that time

Awe for all you Pacific and Mountain players now you know how it feels. Eastern Standard Time folks have to deal with it all the time and for once maintenance will be while I am sleeping.

lol useally you have the beter time when server goes down. it's kinda annoying when the server goes down at 12 PM on your day off. but you don't see me posting complain threads about it. these things need to happen in a MMO.

Well, that's a bit more frustrating. Usually Zenimax staggers this kind of thing. And it is truly ALL THE SERVERS. So ... it must be important.

But still meh. I'll hope for a better game at 2:00 a.m.
