What good is an Orc?

Looking to create an Alt to see how Wrothgar differs from an Orc's perspective and have no insight on what roles are best for them.

I'd use an orc for a stam sorc. The mobility would be insane.

Any up-close and personal stam build works. Make sure you focus on either dual wield or two handers to take adventage of that extra weapon damage also.

Depends on whether or not you have the Imperial available. If not, then they make good warriors with decent health and good stamina damage. If you do have Imperials unlocked, Orcs are a somewhat worse version of the Imperial. Sad, but I guess that is how the pay-gate race will be.

Well, my orc on my main account is a Templar. I made him a Templar pretty much at random a couple of days after launch when I still didn't really know much about the game. I already had a Dragonknight, and I saw that in the character creation menus when you selected a Templar they showed you with a big two-handed weapon, so I decided to go for that on the basis that it looked cool, and seemed fitting for an orc.

He's now a stamplar DPS with two-handed weapons on both bars, and he does pretty decently I think (despite a general lack of ranged attacks). So that's one way you could go.

Oh, and I like your idea to go and experience Wrothgar on an orc. I very intentionally made sure that my first play-through of it was on my orc (he leveled from VR1 or 2 to VR5 just playing through all of the content, aside from Maelstrom Arena which he hasn't completed yet). There are definitely some elements of the dialogue and quests that are different when you're an orc.

I use orc for my stamina sorcerer and works well. You lack regen but you run faster on feet than many people on horse and you hit hard with melee. The health buf is decent, letting squeeze 1 more robust jewelry for more dmg.

In general works ok with any stamina class, id say that prety close to imperial.

Stam Sorc Orc is very fun to play(my favorite).

Its play style is very aggressive. And the old saying "The best defense is good offence" is so true with stam sorc orc.

Swift Warrior is the best passive from an Orc. Personally, I would go with Sorc-Stamina build to really take advantage of that passive. Templar Stamina tank would be my second choice. Anything stamina DK would be my last choice, but I find DK's to be very boring to play.

My Orc is a NB Vamp. I run all divines with Steed mundus. Wind running CP bonus unlocked. Vampire also has access to minor expedition.

There is no faster build. (Besides adding that fiords set)

EDIT I chose NB because I was sure I wanted to run the Steed, and NB Is the best class that can use health recovery as a self heal.. Due to cloaking.

i use orc as a tank, with the passive racial on stamina + health, and speed, makes it great tank with decent mobility

You can do some fun stuff at lower levels if you're an orc. For example make a DK build that regenerates so much health he can solo all group dungeons without heals(i did all up to crypt of hearts)

Nothing special, just a suit of heavy armor orgnum's scales rest oblivion's foe, blue quality will do. I was using blood altar for a long-duration health regen buff. Weapon was 2H hammer, using brawler against trash swarms and wrecking blow against bosses.

No they are not a worse version of Imperial. They do not have a higher stamina and health, but what they do have is a harder hitting attack thanks to swift warrior, more mobility again to swift warrior, and far better health regeneration thanks to Robust. I think Orc is fairly well balanced, and complaining about that race is preposterous. I'd almost argue they are the best all around Stamina race for pvp, because of their built-in mobility, and stam-damage boost. Especially in a game where Health utility has been diminished and building for damage and mobility is more important than health, I definitely think Orc is better than Imperial.

2x Divines Any Armor
Windrunning CP Passive
Athletics Medium Armor Passive
Major Expedition

You honestly cannot be any faster than that. (Besides Caltrops / Eclipse + Talons Bug lol)

On my other account I have an Orc named Bolt. My only plan when creating that orc was to eventually get him to be the fastest possible, by doing exactly what you describe. I should really level him and make it happen.
