What if your groups tank had these Spell and Physical resistance numbers?

Seems that it wasn't implied so I will place this here. This post is merely a joke and not needed to be taken serious anyone who's played the game long enough to hit v16 and tank already knows where the hard cap stands; so in other words there's no need for added "Oh you've hit the hard cap then" type of responses.

    Then the tank would have 50% damage mitigation against physical and spell based attacks. That would be just like every other tank I may add.

    Wow, you really tricked me. I was taking this post seriously! This may be hard for you to believe, but some players have reported those types of stats before and, although they can only be gained from a glitch, they actually have benefited players. This is to say that such huge stats were not just a UI error, but were caused by some other issue and that is why it would be ironic to have such high resistance stats - such stats wouldn't actually benefit a player with those stats because of the damage mitigation via armor cap.

    I had something like this happen to me with my weapon and spell damage it was weird but it got fixed by weapon swapping.

    Yup when I switched weapons it was gone I just went back to 35k spell and 32k physical that's about it.

    Yup when I switched weapons it was gone I just went back to 35k spell and 32k physical that's about it.
    He's right that it wouldn't have any actual effect, though, as the damage mitigation is hard-capped at 50%, and at VR16 you hit that 50% mitigation at 32,700 or so resistance. The only effect it would actually have is that you'd be effectively immune to effects that lower your resistance, as you'd be able to get your resistance lowered by a ton before it started to affect your damage mitigation.

    I forgot all about resistance lowering effects. Thank you for mentioning that.
