Help With Choosing An Ultimate

I am currently working on putting together a new Khajiit character based around the idea of a Dark Templar. Below are things I already know I'm going to give him, but I am not sure what other ultimate to give him to fill his second slot. I also listed the one's I am considering, and my opinions on them.

Armor: Heavy
Weapon Set One: Two Hand Axe
Primary Role: DPS/Tank
Ultimate One: Werewolf Beserker

Weapon Set Two: Restoration Staff
Secondary Role: Healer

Possible Ultimate Options...

Shooting Star: I like the damage output it does, and the extra ultimate generation it gives is super nice. Though I worry about having two, high cost ultimate abilities, and not being able to gen enough to fuel both of them. Even if I used something like Cleave, or Banish The Wicked to boost ultimate gen even more.

Empowering / Crescent Sweep: Both of them are attractive to me, though I'm not sure which one would better work for my character, bit more damage, or debuffing the enemy for reduced damage, increasing my sustainability.
You search and search for something, never realizing it is within and always has been. You can not find it, you can not understand it, you simply accept, and believe, and it will grow. - Heretic's Faith, Randall N. Bills

To answer your question; pick nova or shooting star.

    Furthermore, (altho you probably don't wanna hear this) this build won't be viable. There are multiple reasons why and i'll try to mention a few;

    - you can't DPS, tank and heal with 1 build.
    - after patch 1.6, it's better to go either full on stamina or full on magicka.
    - heal or DPS don't fit well with heavy armor

    etc etc.

And of course, if you desperately wanna make this work.. then go ahead. it's your game and as long as you have fun you should do whatever you wanna do of course. I just wanted to give you the heads up :)

Yeah healing dungeons in heavy armor probably won't fly.
That being said I personally prefer Empowering Sweep. It's actually one of my favorite ultimates.

i'd agree that you can't be optimal dps and healer while wanting to tank but it's doable. i have an argonian DK alt that i'm leveling for fun and put all points in health. i use a 2H for grinding/leveling and a bit of PvP, 1h/shield and resto for tanking or healing. i can tank excellently and my DPS is decent when i DPS (this is lowbie dungeons, mind you). healing is hard work but i'm effective at it due to my experiences healing as templar and other clases.

however, i have to be stingy with my current skill point s pool and i carry 3 armour sets

but i'm very clear on making this guy a tank end game so i have no illusions of being a healer or top dps end game. i could probably be mediocre, even at healing, but definitely not as good as my NB or templar for their respective roles.

EDIT: as for ult choice, i'd go with meteor or nova as lazyness said. my secondary ult is always the one i kinda use when i am overloaded with ult points or just for the lulz

I love shooting star! If you drop shooting star on enough enemies you can have it back up immediately.

Not immediately (60 gained ultimate max), but really fast.

I was going to post something saying pretty much the same thing. I've been using Shooting Star a lot when soloing dolmens - drop it on the cultists to start off the dolmen, and between the ultimate you get for hitting all of them with it, and the ultimate you get finishing them off (because Shooting Star by itself isn't going to kill them) I usually find it's back up and ready to use before the first daedra appears. I freaking love that ultimate.

I've personally dropped this on about 12 zombies and had my ultimate up after they died but I was using fire ring to put them down so that could explain things.

Remember that you gain 9 ultimate for each killed zombies and daedra. 60 ultimate (6 enemy) + 12*9 ultimate (12 zombies killed) = 168 ultimate back. If you have the ultimate regen buff, you have more or less 180 ultimate back in less than five second. If you are a sorc or a templar or having a ultimate used reduction, your meteor is up ;)

Well, let me share my story with you. I started a stamina-magicka mix on my dunmer sorcerer, and she was doing fine until I went to Cyrodiil.

I figured out that I can't keep myself alive, I ran out of stamina too quickly when I dealt damage, and I ran out of magicka too quickly when I used CC, etc. so I went up for a resto staff, with mixes results. The problem was that I couldn't craft a gear for both spell crit/damage/maxmagicka and its counterpart in physical. Think about it, if you use stamina skills, you'll most likely need camo hunter, but if you use magicka skills, you'll most likely need inner light. If you're stamina based dps, you'll need medium armor for cost reduction, but if you're using magicka based skills, you'll need light armor. Heavy armor if you wanna be a tank. What kind of potion will you drink? Etc.

PvE was absolvable though, but at the point I've got difficulties in Wrothgar, I changed everything to stamina with warlock jewelries (and 2 pieces of armor). I think this is the farthest one can go in mixing.

As for ultis, I'd recommend a low cost and a high cost one, during an average siege I can use 2-5 low cost one or 1-2 high cost one.
My Great House Telvanni did not join the Pact.
But it does not mean I don't want to be Emperor.

The alliance war ultimate, warhorn/aggressive horn is the best ultimate, but you will have to pvp for it.
