PVP'rs I don't hate all of you...

...but many of you are making it hard not to. I am not positive what has changed in the PVP side of MMO's during all these years, but during Ultima Online days when you could actually grieve people, steal their ALL of their hard won treasures off of their dead bodies among other lost in time game mechanics...there was more honor among MMO PVP'rs then. Less crybaby and more of a community, no matter which side you were on there was respect between different types of players interested in completely different parts of the game.

You new breed PVP'rs are hard to understand. So much QQ crying, bitching and moaning going on all the time forever, especially in this forum, and it was disturbingly vicious and rampant during the last ESO Live. I think your tactics are dividing the communities and damaging a gaming genre I really do love.

Truth, more and more people are starting to really dislike your "my way or the highway! Look at me!" approach to attempting to change things in your favor. More truth, it's really not working for you guys as far as getting what you want. Maybe a more strategic and tactful approach would work better for you guys? Just a idea.

Also, which MMO out there has better PVP than ESO?
Stop looking, it doesn't exist

I think the best thing to do is keep things in perspective, stop and push down personal opinion and try to actually see what the other side is saying.

Coming from a pvp standpoint, let me argue Devil's Advocate for you.

PvP'ers have not gotten a PvP update.

If you are still reading, thank you. Your probably thinking, "What about IC?" That isn't a pvp update, on ESO Live when it was first released, the people even explicitly said it wasn't a PvP zone: it is PvE with a bit of PvP. PvP'ers have been wanting dueling and battlegrounds, not a PvE zone where the PvP is inconveniently placed because of all the mobs.

Also, this is a side note, but I want your opinion and knowledge to better translate to us PvP'ers. With belittling, demeaning, and disparaging comments and tone, it makes your point harder to get across, people get defensive when you use a negative tone with them. Think about it: if you read your above post and replaced all the PvE with PvP and the PvP with PvE, and this was a rant from a PvP'er complaining about PvE, would you actually listen to their advice if they are telling it with such spite?

Some things to consider :) Take care! See you in Tamriel.

But seriously, what do you want them to update? More nerfs and fix lag??? Well they've been trying to do that forever. That's not neglecting to do a PVP update, that's flat out inability to sort issues out. Don't you think they WOULD HAVE if they COULD HAVE?

Other than Duelling Arena (which will utterly wreck PVP as EVERYONE will be in there measuring certain things against the certain things of others to see whose certain thing is bigger - just like every game that DOES have duelling arena) - what else could you possibly want?

    Literal question, no troll.

I personally would like to see 2v2 arenas the most, random partners or queued together. Kind Richard has been streaming some 2v2 tournaments and I have to say those are the most interesting matchups I have seen! Super fun to watch, would like to participate soon.

I do not believe dueling would wreck pvp. The hardcore, max/min pvper will be dueling, but they are already dueling in this patch. What percentage of pvp'ers nowadays are actually these hardcore people who would rather duel than open world?

Most of the pvp'ers (by numbers) are grouped up in a zerg because they haven't been taught how to 1v1. The massive groups who zerg around (nothing wrong with that btw, all preference) will keep zerging around, they don't have the desire to 1v1 or else they would be doing it right now.

The way I see it, you wouldn't lose a whole lot of pvp'ers with the introduction of dueling arenas. The people who like dueling already duel. The people who like zerging will keep zerging.

    All my opinion though :)

while i do agree that the pvp attitudes have changed over the years, so have the pve attitudes.

To sum up, things change. Get over it.

Or write a crybaby thread about people you call crybabies.

Huh. That was all well said. Thanks for the post...thinking about it.

I get a lot of unintended 1vx stuff in IC but it is not the same, I'll grant you.

If they start introducing more and more areas, then the stalwart/arrogant will simply exhaust themselves as they will have to fight off combatants in one zone and then run to the next. Instead of playing keep whack a mole, it will be zone whack a mole. Just transferred to the naval campaign, guess what you just lost your scrolls in Cyrodiil. Go back for the scrolls, your ships are now at the bottom of the Abecean sea.

That will cause some people to literally never stop playing or completely stop playing. I suspect you will see threads wrt to that. Will be fun when there are 5 or more independent PvP world event sources all screaming at a player to take action.

    WRT to quoteception.

Instead of simply complaining, make suggestions to get ZOS thinking. I made a suggestion about separate side areas that would provide extra porting places in Cyrodiil. Their answer, have towns be a thing and owning a town lets you port there. Not sure if the suggestion was directly responsible, but several months after I posted that suggestion, something in the ball park popped up as a thing in development.

It is very easy to tear something down. It is a bit harder, but possibly more rewarding to come up with an alternate idea.

IC fluctuated in its focus (originally PvP, but marketing got a hold of it) and suffered. Hopefully they have learned the oil and water concept.
Due to a typo in the system, the area was accosted by the Daedric Prince Moar Lag Brawls.
