When the patch hits pts, I'm gonna be on the forums laughing at all the people that are gonna cry for nerfs and scream how "ridiculous" the new trial is. I'm already setting up my popcorn stand

I mean, these two dungeons were turned into farming areas by the top 1% within ... 3 days... while the 60% "bottom" had to wait for nerfs or give up. That leaves only 39% of the playerbase with a normal, enjoyable challenge/learning curve.
Hopefully this time the top 1% will REALLY struggle and the rest will be able to learn/practice it at a regular pace and not hit frustration walls.
(Percentages are shown to illustrate what I'm saying, they're not "scientific" ;-) )
And I also hope that normal mode will not be a boring walk in the park.
Should it be impossible to fulfill all those different expectations, then I hope the top 1% will really struggle ! If that's what they like ;-)
I hope this one won't be nerfed. It has a normal mode and a level scaling, so people who don't like the high difficulty will be able to take it down without any nerf needed.
But yes, they won't get the top-level gear, but top-level gear = top-lever player.

If it's clearly PvE sets that are not viable in PvP, then fine. But "top gear" shouldn't be locked behind hardcore PvE. If it's just unique, no problem, If it's clearly BiS, no.

As hard as Vet Maelstrom, I doubt it but if so,, I can't wait to see this myself. There are very few folks who can complete vMA, I think I'll grab my popcorn as well.
Since some players are so adamant about only playing with skilled players, I think it will be a great show to watch as some of the kickers will become the kickies

lol, Maelstrome was cleared on PTS when it was much harder than on live (costreduction bug, damagereduction bug). So i hope it's harder, if not it will get cleared on PTS....which is a bit boring imo.

Like I said, I doubt it will be that hard. To me for a trial to be as hard as Maelstrom it has to be at minimum 12 times as hard and that is before you take into consideration the mechanics of the trial.
Out of all of the players who have completed vMA, how many combinations are there if you don't repeat players from one group to the next?

This is probably part of why they have a normal mode and leader-level scaling. Can't complete? Better scale it to level 10. It's a great way to let casual players have fun and complete content while still offering The Real Challenge, The Real Reward to hardcore types!
