Pledges

I'm a noob on this forum so if I do something wrong point out please!
Me and my friends were discussing things about the pledges, we thought that if you do a vet pledge you should receive an (x) amount of points or tokens and when they get so many they can purchase sets such as Engine guardian etc it just makes it more fair for people who do pledges a lot compared to people who get sets after a few goes.
Obviously if the difficulty is normal you'll get less than you would if its veteran.

    The idea of a token system has been floating around for a while now.

    Also you should only get tokens for vet pledges as you can only get a helm from vet pledges.

    It's triple RNG (drop chance, item weight, item trait) coupled with bind-on-pickup. It seriously needs to be revisited.

    [EDIT] It's actually 4 layers of RNG in vWGT and vICP, since for the same item weight there are 2 possible sets. Quick math here:
    - Assume 50% drop chance for a set item other than the monster mask (in my experience the drop chance is lower than that but bear with me);
    - If you do get a drop there's a 1/3 chance that it will be heavy, medium or light (16.6% for each);
    - For a given weight there are 2 sets (8.3% each);
    - For each set I believe there are 4 possible traits - infused, divines, reinforced, well-fitted (2.08% each, which doesn't account for the apparent bias towards well-fitted, so other traits will be lower).

    This would mean at least 50 runs to guarantee a given set piece with a given trait. But that's not how RNG works in this game: each run you get a new 2% chance, it doesn't take into account previous runs. So conceivably you might never get the perfect set piece.

    You can dismiss this as a "luck" factor, but at the end of the day if you're too unlucky you'll be frustrated, which I'd say isn't the point of a game.

    So please, token system, or better RNG system, or bound-on-equip, or in-group trades please. There are so many ways to make the system a little better.

    Yeah we'd all love a token system, it'd help me actually get the good pieces I want...I seem to get them all with Impenetrable
    I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

    Tokens would be nice but for some reason ZOS keeps ignoring this idea. They're introducing monster set vendor instead but it seems like a bandaid. It isn't gonna help players who run dungeons heaps but have bad RNG AND don't have much gold/AP. It also doesn't solve the issue with sets like Spellpower Cure. God how I wish I could get token for my countless WGT runs and just purchase Spellpower Cure Sash already instead of getting jerkin #5.
