Yeah, I don't understand why they refuse to remove BOP. I have literally deconstructed millions of gold worth of gear because I cannot sell it due to their damn BOP.

Is anyone even using the BoP gear from Imperial City or Wrothgar? Maybe Moleg Kena because you only need to get 2 pieces, but stuff like Briarheart and Essence Thief and Scathing Mage? Getting 5 different pieces with decent traits that do not interfere with your Undaunted set? It takes such a monumental amount of grinding that hardly anyone is using these sets. I must have run WGT and ICP hundreds of times each. I have 3 Essence Thief and 2 Sheer Venom. I have run more Wrothgar World Bosses and Delve dailies than I can count. I do not have a single piece of robust VR16 Briarheart jewelry.

Congrats, ZOS, more gear that no one will use.

I run 5 leaching on my nb tank, they did say that the raid gear was bop the question was not asked about all drops only the trial

This is exactly why this policy of new gear being BoP WILL NOT change in the next 2 months leading up to this DLC. Doesn't matter what the community outcry is this, policy is set in stone... which is why it was said with a smile.

For 1 he was talking specifically about the Trial sets. Also they said you can get the new trial sets from completing ANY of the weekly trial leaderboard rewards, that means that there are 4 other sources for people to get these sets who do not get the DLC.

I suspect that this will only change for DLC items as they get older. This way they can milk that new DLC mullah much more since players will need to buy it or rent it to gain access to the new hotness upfront. Imperial City will be the first to get the BoE treatment once ZOS decides its no longer profitable to keep it BoP. I personally think we wont see this change to Imperial City until around the anniversary of its release. And we'll see subsequent changes to the following DLCs around the time of their anniversaries.

Since this is regarding what I said on ESO Live, I felt I should chime in here. I was referring to the new Trial sets and only the new Trial sets as being BoP. That means only the four brand new sets. The other three sets (Hircine's Veneer, Ebon Armory, and Vicious Death) which drop in the Trial, and you've seen elsewhere, are BoE.
