Why should it be? Not like you cared to elaborate... other than the assumed laziness and well.. that's pretty much it.

This won't happen simply because it'll make ZOS 8 times less money from mount upgrades in the crown store.
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

Forums are for making your point heard, and you Unsent.Soul are just rude which there is no call for.....and if you need any elaboration on why I think they should be account wide then says more about you than me

Not too mention not everyone can spend every minute of their free time on the game

you upgrade your riding skill not your mount.
do i agree with 6 months of every day upgrade is excessive? yes.
do i agree mount upgrades should be account wide? no

    That's what I meant....riding skill :)

180 days per character is more than a excessive, nobody wants to do that for every build

Maybe account wide is too far the other way, not sure how this could be settled so as was said earlier they probably wont do nothing haha

It is way too common that people post a "suggestion" without any kind of information or elaboration. Sure, the forum is here for all of us to post our ideas and concerns, but too few of them are constructive.

So if you want people to not be "rude" in your thread, a good start would be to elaborate on exactly why you want this change

But there is only one reason that anyone would want this change surely........so they don't have to spend a ridiculous amount of time for every character

Also I never said anything to offend anyone so do not appreciate someone being rude, however I do understand what you are saying I just thought this one was too obvious

I will take this on board in future

The thing is, it has been asked for again and again, by people who whine about wanting everything handed to them, and if they should get it, then whine about the game being boring and having "nothing to work for".

ESo has more account-wide stuff then any other MMO I ever played, and is getting more with the final champion system. Thus asking for yet more without any consideration, and without even using the search function to see if maybe someone else had the idea already, is something I don't like to see.
And if you "make it short", I will reply in kind. ;)

But it seems the short version isn't what was wanted after all...

For the account wide idea... nope. There is no reason for any more account wide stuff. All those "characters" you see in your login screen? They are the ones with the skills, and they are all different people. Really, just because your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate is a horse whisperer and can ride with the best of them doesn't mean you can hop on a horse and expect to do the same.
(and I say that as someone with eight characters, mains with maxed riding, and the rest would benefit from such an idea)

    Now...
...if the dicsussion were to get to questioning the current system for training your riding...
...and add some thoughts about how the "once per day" system is suboptimal, and maybe think about how it could be improved...
...that would be something I might agree with, and add a thought or two, about riding lessions stacking for offline time so that people who cannot log in each day still get their horse training, or multiple lessions per day at an incrementally increasing cost, or perhaps even usage-raised riding skills... (ride more, learn riding while you do sort of thing, which as a matter of fact would not be some new idea fot an elder scrolls game...)

Lol so my level 3 can do 25% more damage through champion points but his horse moves so slow its quicker to run by foot? Theres way more important things to fight for in this game rather than NOT having mount skills account wide. Also nobody wants to continuously "work for" things that they have done 2 or 3 times already on other accounts, and this is why people enjoy account wide benefits.

I dont think it makes immersion sense to make the account wide ( each toon has to learn how to ride individually). It also doesnt make sense business wise - since they make lots of money from it. The only thing I would change is not put a limit on it...for example if I wanted to fully upgrade my mount in 1 day I could, instead of spending 6 months doing it.

Its a serious amount of time to invest especially when the VR ranks are removed and you get new characters to vr16 equivalent very quickly but your riding along on a donkey also if you want to go pvp, you want a decent steed to move around the battle field.

I think I liked an old post someone said about this. they should let you buy 7 at once for the week. and have a weekly reset instead of daily so that you can once a week take and turn in all the 7 on one char wait a week and repeat instead of every day 8 chars log in for mounts haha

All 8 of my toons are at 60/60/60 in riding skills.
I did it. so can you. It just requires the discipline to go to the riding stable 1 time a day for each toon.

It is not my fault that you did not start 8 toons right away and begin leveling their riding from the get-go.

Basically you want to penalize me (by negating the time I spent), because it is too "hard" for you.

    Sorry, NO!

I do pvp in BWB a bunch. I start new characters over, grind their levels, and test their builds. That's the only time I really agonize over having a slow mount. Just give players a mount speed buff in Cyrodiil, I'd settle for that since there are wayshrines everywhere in the pve zones for easier travel.

I would like to see the timer for waiting to train be significantly reduced. Not even half, I think it should be one or two hours between. Twenty hours is just too long now that it is skill and not feeding a horse.

I agree but if this never happens....just let me pay for multiple training outside the crown store....lets say 7 - 10 at a time.

Lazy? You attribute one of the worst designed horse upgrade systems in a game to laziness? I chuckled.

The current system gimps your character and any future character you make behind 150 days worth of upgrading and that is IF you log on every 20 hours. Archaic game.

Mounts are already account-wide, and this isn't something every MMO does. I agree that riding slooooooooooooooooowly is less than.. fun.. but, ZOS' income has to come from somewhere. The CS is that somewhere, since it isn't a sub-required game.

Games like WoW have tiers of riding, based on level (and the gold costs of purchasing the next tier). But it's also still a subbed game. Checks and balances, you know?

If we want to complain about "the grind", lets really take it back a couple decades.

Anyone remember UO? Remember gains for something like Taming? Remember Power Hour?

Try gaining .1 in a skill in an hour's (or more) worth of work (that's .1x10=1 skill point. Out of 100 max). Come talk to me then about getting to your next quest marker 10 seconds later than if you had increased mount speed.

Yeah it is a bit slow to level your horses up on the newly created alts....but there are horse leveling pots in the crown store for those who are inpatient.

This is an idea that works for a subscription model, but not for a B2P/F2P with a cash store model.

Multi day training would be good. Also maybe a perk that lets you train twice a day like hirelings or similar.

I don't REALLY have an opinion, but it seems logical if costumes are purchased mounts are account wide...so should your training/riding skills.
