What's better? Meteor or nova (plus morphs)

Which of the 2 are better. Meteor (+ morphs) do elemental damage, is a targeted attack, costs less and procs mages guild Passives
Nova (+morphs) is magicka damage, is ground target, costs more and procs dawns wrath Passives.

Meteor can be reflected back, nova can't.

What do you think is better for pvp especially keep defence ?

Nova is really situational and for it to be worth it you need an ally to use the sinergy. Id say meteor is better and more reliable, just make sure not to cast it at a DK or any 1h/ shield user with reflects up.

Nova is generally better for guild group, but meteor is more reliable especially if you have a board (to avoid the reflection by reflecting it yourself).

If you go with meteor you could always eat up their reflect with something like light staff attacks just before it hits.

Heavy fire/ice attack are projectile too.

I agree with the rest. Nova is better in groups where someone can get the synergy or you're looking to snare other raids with the snare morph. The synergy is one of the strongest in the game - especially if done by someone with 100 points in Thaumaturge. Meteor is much more versatile, I guess.
