This is strange. I'm on Variak Solkyn and he spawns 2 Crematorial Guards, but on multiple guide videos I've only seen them get 1 Crem Guard before the phase where you go up to kill the crystals.
What's going on? It doesn't seem random either, because 1 spawns with another NPC, I kill both, and then another Crem spawns with an NPC????

Mujuro✭✭✭✭The guards run on specific triggers (e.g., when the boss finishes his channel attack or is otherwise interrupted from completing it), as well as a timer. As such, you'll always, AFAIK, get the 1st crem guard. Assuming you kill it, whether you get a second one is wholly dependent on how fast you (i) get the boss to 70% to trigger him going upstairs, and (ii) how quickly you kill the ghost clanfear and actually get upstairs. If you take too long on either (i) *OR* (ii), you'll get another clanfear.3 -

Lmao yeah, pretty much...
The only way I finished it was by consistent damage on the boss at every opportunity I had, and of course prio on the Crem guards.
