I used to play for fun never thinking of such things as builds, classes and group roles. However, I was told that I'm playing wrong and to be able to play end-game content I was to use only certain skill and make a propper build. So, could anyone tell me my collection of skills good for playing high-level content or not?
I always like playing for fun, but you don't have to stress yourself out to be good. Making a good build isn't too complicated.
--First, decide what you want to do: Tank, Heal, or Damage.
Damage-dealers focus almost completely on Magicka or Stamina, Healers focus on Magicka, and Tanks focus mostly on Health with a bit of Stamina or Magicka (usually Stamina).
Just make sure you always have enough health to get by. My Sorc has 4 points in Health. Everything else goes into your preferred attribute, because that makes you powerful.
--Second you'll need good gear. Pick Light Armor for Magicka, Medium for Stamina, and Heavy for tanking. Get an expert crafter friend to help you!
Your gear can have set bonuses, traits, and enchantments.
If you're a Damage Dealer or Healer, you'll want tons of Spell Power or Weapon power. If you're a Tank, you'll mostly want Resistance and Health and such.
As for traits, the best ones are Infused for enchantment power, Divines for extra standing-stone bonuses, Reinforced for tanking (sometimes), and maybe Impenetrable for PvP.
--Third, you'll also want enchantment Glyphs. Crafter friends can make these for you too. Give your Armor some more of your primary attribute, give your Jewelry some regeneration (regen is the best right now), and give your weapons whatever you want.
(Extra tip: Your head, chest, and leg slots give enchantments extra power. The Infused trait is great for them.)
--Fourth, you'll need good abilities. You can mostly choose any weapon, just make sure you can do the job with it. Most of your attacks should be abilities that get power from your main attribute (Magicka or Stamina). Your other attribute should be used on things that don't need the extra power. (Like knockdowns, roots, chains, charges, etc.)
Experiment and figure out what works best for you.
Aaand that's pretty much all there is to making a build. Takes some time to get used to, but you'll get the hang of it eventually.
