As in the title. Thieves Guild doesn't come out in a few months, so what's this upcoming patch for?

Why are there no patch notes?
Bosmer Stamina NB
Altmer Magicka TEMP
Dunmer DK both stam/mag (depends what I feel like)
Altmer Magicka NB

No patch notes because they are patching in known bugs and are embarrassed. Only ZOS. Nothing is "getting pulled at the last minute" either way to misinform. The patch was sent in months ago for verification they know exactly what's in it.

Patches between DLC releases are nothing new. Expect bug fixes. Patch notes wont go up until some time during maintenance.

It's an incremental patch for all platforms. Console will be getting most if not all the fixes since their last patch around December 2nd. PC will be getting things like GroupDamage being broken (:disappointed:) and some other small fixes I expect.

As Sean said, patch notes will be up some time tomorrow.

Maybe the quest gives stuck in the ceiling in Skalar's Hosel will finally be fixed? It's been two months and running w/bugs.

Maybe the ninety second loading screens while using wayshrines in Wrothgar will be fixed? That too has been going on for two months.

Bugs that were reported on the PTS and still are in game.

Patch notes don't come out until they have patched the server. Just the way ZOS works.

I'm not sure why they wait to post patch notes, it's pretty common practice to post them as it goes live or slightly before.

As well as most if not all other developers. Sometimes things have to get pulled at the last minute and developers know that if they had already published the patch notes and then pulled one of the items they'd be accused of lying and goodness knows what else! When they know what they've sent to the patch servers they tell us, and not before.

It also depends on your version, of couse. The PC EU players get plenty of notice from reading the NA patch notes, and console players have a pretty good idea of what's likely to be coming because they know what's missing from the PC versions.

LOL and it's people like yourself that would have a hernia if; heaven forbid - after posting the notes up a week or two ahead -
something had to be excluded at the last minute.

Like most people these days, you are damned if you do, damned if you don't; people will never be happy. So why not save the inevitable sh!t fight that will happen and post them as it's implemented. not like the patch notes will help you out prior to implementation.

You can read the patch notes 3 patches back for PC. Try getting informed and stop spreading misinformation. Nothing will be excluded. Nothing ever is. They have to send the patches in for certification to sony/microsoft in advance which is why we patch later than PC. Try learning the information if they had to make a "last minute change" it would take a month which is why they are patching in the battle spirit health bug. The more you know

This is the patch we are getting. Feel free to double check my info after the patch goes live

Stop lying to people about why they haven't published patch notes yet. They never do until they know that the patch has been successful server-side, because they don't want to have people anticipating X fix or Y fix if they have to roll back the patch. It has nothing to do with being "embarrassed", it has to do with the standard procedure that they've been doing since launch. I understand that you're bitter, but that's no reason to flat-out lie to people.

Nothing i've said is a lie. They are patching in the battle spirit bug from pc patch 2-2-7 prove they aren't. You PC players could do with learning how console works before commenting. After the patch goes live and the bug is in game check the patch notes i posted i bet they are identical, just like every patch since launch.

You know as well as I do that the reason there are no patch notes yet has absolutely nothing to do with what they're patching in and whether they're embarrassed about it. You know damn well that regardless of what is or isn't going to be in the patch, the patch notes are never released until they know that the patching has been successful on the server. Stop spreading lies.

Lol you're pretty upset about that huh? Well it's true they are patching in a known bug and if they aren't ashamed they should be. Calm yourself and stop trying to be a white knight for someone patching in known bugs. If it's a lie it should be true and it it's not true then well that speaks for ZOS as a company. Not ashamed of knowingly patching in bugs. Even the white knight said it himself. Thanks for proving my point for me URQuan

"Nothing I've said is a lie"

    "They are embarassed"

Why would they be embarassed about putting in a new patch? I'm pretty sure that they don't add new bugs on purpose just for the lulz.

Like i said if they aren't embarrassed they should be. They hotfixed an alchemy node that was instantly respawning overnight but yet they can't patch this? That's right folks overnight a bug that benefits us gets fixed, but if it hurts us? No ETA

PC patches don't go to verification; why are we assuming that this thread is about the console patch and not the PC patch? It could be either. What UrQuan said about making sure the patch has been successful is why they don't post the notes early. Yes, the battle spirit bug will be going into the console patch, and they probably are embarrassed about it, but presumably they decided that getting the rest of the patch out was more important than withholding all the other changes for another month to fix. They still need to make sure that the patch has successfully gone to the server before they post the patch notes. Fixing battle spirit is going to be a code change, while editing a node respawn rate is a value change. Value changes can be hotfixed, code changes can't be.

So yet are making a bug I'm confused?

One of the fixes in the patch that is coming for Console includes a new bug that breaks what they are fixing. They announced that the Console patch was already in certification. The bug will be fixed in the PC/Mac patch today, but they cannot get it into the Console patch for this week.
