Stamina dk fire dots, what mitigates them?

Back in 1.4 i remember whip being mitigated by both armor and fire resists.
Today im quite sure whip is mitigated by spell / fire resists only. However what are the stam versions of dk dots mitigated by?

depending on the morph (stam/magica) armor or spell resists + fire resists (up to 50% combined value) + CP reductions (elemental defender up to another 25% + thick skinned for another 25%) for a total of 75% max reduction (0.5*0.5)

Then in PvP with the extra 50% reduction a DK's fire DoT that would normally tick for 2000 will hit for 250. lol.

Of course most will only have around 10% in both Thick Skinned and and Elemental Defender, and maybe 15000 spell resistance (around 23% DR). So those 2000 ticks will do.....600 damage. lol.

Dots are useless in pvp,

Strange how zos decided to make a dk and tanky, dot build thats mean't to wear an enemy out.

They updated the game so it's burst dmg in pvp, dots are useless because everyone gets rid of them then took away the 'tanky' parts of dk's and made they just sorc/magicka nb without shields/cloak or any useful range skills.

Does it matter DOTs are nearly useless in PvP cause you need to stack like 4 or 5 and even then 1 purge or cloak removes 1 or 2 or a player can just heal through it.
