Audience in PvP arena

When arenas come, it would be fun to be able to participate as audience. I may not be greatest fighter, but I enjoy watching streams of duels or guild v guild fights. Being there ingame would be so much more exciting, social happening and even chance to learn something.

Oblivion has this, and you could even bet for the fights :D How awesome would that be.

Or maybe grandstand for audience would just hurt the terrain design of the arena?

What do others think? Does other mmos has this?

    I can't imagine an arena without an audience tbh- whether its a visible crowd or just viewing from another angle. However, I do think an area where people could stand, bet, and even drink, would be awesome.

    I would love to be able to spectate fights and bet on fighters. I could spend a whole play through just spectating and betting on fights.

    Even though I might not be participating in this type of event. I think it would be good for the arena to have cross alliance zone chat, where u can talk to other players no matter what alliance they are in.

    There was a post over a year ago that talked about Arena's. I suggested this very thing, to be able to watch as well as bet on Arena battles. It would be a really fun addition to the game.

    Have NPC's that walk around selling drinks and bread too. XD

    People need to stop with the we either get this or that mentality in this game. We can have both of these things lol, they are not mutually exclusive.

    Yes! Gambling! PEGI 18, right? Spectator mode would be a bit odd, I guess it could work in small arenas, but for larger group based arenas/battlegrounds you might wanna have various cameras/fly over options, in which case having your character there as physical audience becomes a bit odd.

    And there would be multiple fights all the time, and it might get confusing to get to the fight you want... but possibilities are just too good: guild events, pro-player-matches, or just pure leasure when you don't really feel like doing anything.

    Oooh this is a brilliant idea, especially if we could bet on a player. I'm not really into gambling but that would be interesting to be honest. At least as an audience watching other players duel in the arena.

    Maybe this is possible in the future, @ZOS_BrianWheeler ? B)

    Or it could be just one or two viewable arenas that you have to queue up for, and while you wait in the queue you can spectate and place bets. Or the arenas audience is instanced and consists of people that are in the same guilds or groups.

    Yeah, this would be really awesome, and very intertaining for everyone, imo. Both the fighters, and spectators.

    There's no reason a guild couldn't take this on as their role, and earn a reputation as being the honest, safe guild to place bets with that offers fair odds and a reasonable betting fee. :smile:

    nah dude, i think 7 at most for the arenas, if you want 10-15 man objective based stuff you could just go to cyro.

    Hey,people could be assigned fights by the Arena masters.Like Gladiators. They would fight their match in abilities.
