Now I see an NB go into stealth, hold up my shield and wait a few seconds, use a detect potion and then proceed to reverberating bash their skulls in... Mostly... Occasionally it's a good NB player and that's a decent fight but for the most part, the terrible NB's out there hang onto their cloak like a crutch. Kick the crutch away and they are literally flailing going "why is my cloak not working" as they run around in circles trying to hide.
Incidentally, as a magicka temp, could you not stack spell damage and heal like a beast while spamming puncturing sweeps? I know it's pretty much your only decent offensive still but it hits really hard...
Bar 1: Toppling charge, reflective light, puncturing sweep, radiant destruction, dark flare.
Bar 2: Proxi det, BoL, harness magicka, healing ward, structured entropy.
As soon as you see anyone get entropy on them and reflective light if you can (now their shields are debuffed and your spell damage is up). Then top charge and follow with a dark flare going into puncturing sweep.
You should have your proxi det up too so they take that big AOE while you're assaulting them. That's pretty much your whole burst. If they recover and damage you, get your health back to at least 80% and start over with a top charge again.
Sometimes I switch something out for blazing spears too. It's great for Nightblades.
Imo magicka Templar rocks. It's just a little trickier to play.

To be honest, Templar sucks in PvP.
I have made it work for me but it is a challenge and the class suffers a lot in PVP from too many bugs and way too many skills that have long animations or channels it's such a frustration the play one, especially since I recently rerolled an NB which is like night and day. Pretty much anyone can be decent to good on a nightblade... obviously it takes skill to master but it's easy mode compared to a Templar.
I'd love to see some class balance and some of the glaring issues fixed but hoping for something like that from ZOS is a joke.

Jabs are an ok option but i find it hard to hit some character most of the time, since the cc of the jabs is the last hit and vs any half good player your lucky to get 2 out of 4 jab hits in.
Templars have no mobility at all, no movement speed so vs anything with a bit of movement speed you can catch them
Also jabs is still bugged so vs anything with a shield you barely touch them.
Vet 16 main Templar here everything is gold on me doesn't matter on pvp. I think NB or shield stackers like that I'm a Templar. Cause I'm easy to kill since we have been nerfed more than any class on eso. What happens is NB will do cloak wait to see me heal someone or do super heal than comes at me in full force because they know I'm a Templar by myself, out roaming the land and it is a easy kill for them.

lol, for me it was the other way around, templar is way easier to play. Playing a NB takes a lot of skill as literally the only ability keeping you alive as a NB is cloak, and seeing as how people are wisening up and actually starting to use counters against cloak now, I am getting trashed more often than not on my NB, at least with my templar I have a chance of fighting on.

So have an assault 7 skill - Ok..
Use dark flare the reflectable, bashable, slow as charged skill - check
Use jabs and hope they stand there because for some reason we have to aim this skill but every other class doesn't - check
Hope top charge doesn't bug out and kill you - Check
Hope you actually do enough dmg to finish them and there not a nb with a cloak + vigor and then ambush/soul/fear/sa dead kill you
Hope there not a sorc and fail at getting through their shields because of broken skill
Hope their not a stam dk and they 3 hit you with wb or wb + take flight and kill you.
Hope their a mag dk then you actually have a chance,
