"Crowns cannot be traded or gifted."

I got my kid sister interested in playing the game.
I set her up with a new PC, she bought the game for herself for Christmas on my say-so.

She's at a remote location geographically, so it's not like I can just slip on by and purchase crowns in her name on my credcard for the DLC, and maybe some mounts/pets/geegaws.

She insists she doesn't need the DLC/etc, I'd like to see her at least able to go there.

So, ThePowersThatBe don't seem to have given me/us an option to make it happen, as best I can see.

Am I missing something, or do I just save my money and the company is out the bux?

Yea I've always wondered why they don't give us the option to buy crowns/subs for friends..

I mean, I suppose they are afraid of people trading crowns for gold, etc

i had the same problem with my daughter, in the end i jjust had to send her a check in the mail.
she cashed the checks and used the money for eso so we could play together.

This is exactly what would happen. It sucks that we can't gift crowns but it's not worth destroying what little economy we have in this game.

She can use your credit card information to buy crowns on the account, so long as all the information matches the card. Why? Because that's how secure credit cards are.

But if she doesn't want it, why gift it to her? Listen to her instead of feeling a need to override it. Give her some time to explore on her own.

Hmm, I misread the title of this thread as "Crows cannot be trusted or gifted". I agree that crows cannot be trusted, but I think some of them are surprisingly gifted.

The prepaid game time does come with 3000 crowns. I've also seen 1500 crown gift cards at Best Buy and Gamestop. So you could by a card and mail it to her, at least.

The pre-paid Crown and ESO Plus cards are an easy way to gift ESO stuff. My local Best Buy sells this stuff for at least PS4 and PC. I have never checked the XBOX section.

I would not advise doing this. For one thing, the IP address will not match and an email code will be sent out. Twice. For another thing, it is technically against the ToS to do that.
