First answer is incorrect. First applied shield is first one to start taking damage
The order doesn't matter anymore. I think at one time it did, but not anymore. Basically all the numbers add up to one mega ward, but harness magicka will only absorb magicka damage. all the other wards work on both.HebrewHatchet wrote: »If I'm running hardened ward, healing ward, and harness magicka, does the order I apply them change the order they mitigate damage?
In other words, if I cast hardened ward and then healing ward will my healing ward be depleted before my hardened ward is even touched? Will my hardened ward be depleted before my healing ward is touched? Will damage be spread across shields? Or, will a shield be chosen at random?
The consequences of shield order could be important because idealy (I imagine), a sorcerer would want harness magicka on the outside (to regen magicka upon being hit by magic), then the hardened ward (to protect the healing ward), and then the healing ward (so that it is least likely to be damaged, and thus heals for more when it pops).
Essentially yes, that has been my experience.HebrewHatchet wrote: »@eventide03b14a_ESO, so you're saying that regardless of the order I applied them, if my stacked ward still has 1 hp, then my healing ward can still expire and heal me for 1-3 hp even though I taken enough damage to deplete either my hardened ward or healing ward individually?

This is correct, if you cast hardened ward then healing, the hardened takes damage first, if time elapses you can heal for the full amount of healing.
If you hate shield stacking so much @AOECAPS use shieldbreaker
Lmao if people use wrecking blow sorcs complain if biting jabs applied damage correctly to shields I'd use though but shields not being crit able is a flaw in game mechanics if stamina users were 7 impen they still take more crit damage than a sorc stacking shields must be nice to be able to apply 100 cp into bastion and be able to reapply the shield whenever

Must be nice to have super high dmg and have higher stacked weapon dmg? I have a few stam characters myself
Stop complaining and just get better, honestly crying about 'stacking' when you need to get through one shield,.
Must be nice to be able to mitigate 25% of a classes dmg through cp and to be able to dodge roll/block without worrying about your stamina going instantly. Vigor + roll dodge pretty much heals someone up. Oh and theres no physical reduction.
Just to confirm more dmg from stamina + no way to mitigate it.
7x impen is around 25% crit passive, combined with some in resistant and suddenly crit's don't hurt so hard.
