Just to add to this:

I can offer what I think would be a quick fix. Make guild spots bound. Once you but you can't trade it. You can't complain that some guilds are buying the spots out of spite to corner the market but you can complain that they are able to trade the spots. I agree that is shameful.

✭✭✭✭Maybe it's a trade war? Nobody would be stupid enough to buy a trade guild with no active members just because it is currently holding a good spot. Sorry but your conspiracy theory doesn't make sense.
The only way in which it would make sense for me to use proxy guilds to buy out the prime guild traders is to push my rivals out of business. Otherwise it's just a waste of gold.
Please stop trying to assume you know how these people think, their goals or how things would really work to make money. The Console Community is not the PC Community. There will be deviations in tactics and ideas.
As to the OP, I too have recently noticed a lack of items for sale in Guild Traders in prime locations although at first I gave it no thought. Now that I think about it its really odd considering the games now 6 months old. Anyone without anything to sell is not going to be able to hold onto a prime location when other Guilds with the backing of months of successful sales are bidding. Its like the first month of Console launch all over again. I've also overheard people claiming to be from Trading Guilds discussing how they were to fix their prices. I dont have names of people or a guild if a ZOS employee was to ask as the VOIP makes things a mess in heavily populated areas.

It's a blind bid system. Bid higher, bid elsewhere.
Some people have too much money and will buy a spot for no reason other than to have it.
There is no conspiracy. With 157 trade spots there is just no way to manipulate that. People in trade guilds sell for about the same price because that's what people pay for them. You can't sell if no one buys and without profit you can't bid high.
This thread is closer to violating TOS than even if this conspiracy is true. PM or email support if you feel you are being harrassed, but I don't see it.1 -

The buying and selling that happens within the game is very legal and is in fact part of the game. Only by using real world money would it violate the TOS.

He rented in game content and it violated the TOS. The TOS doesn't state specific currencies but nice try. Renting it with in game gold still violates the TOS. I have someone ready to name names, set up a buy and everything. Where is the official response?0 -
AOECAPS✭✭✭✭I've noticed the guild traders in Rwa'kwa having absolutely nothing in them except level 20 food and drinks. Only traders I mess with anymore are the ones in wayrest. I do agree with you though in price fixing but it's not just on trade locations there are a few guilds with the same people in them buying up all alloys wax etc and raising the price by an extra 100-150% but eh what r you going to do ppl think they r businessmen and just makes me go farm for a bit1

Except for the whole part where there is no violation of ToS. Do you know why no one got banned when people were selling vampire and werewolf bites? because selling things that are not items, is not a violation of the terms of service. Even when people had proof they had been scammed all ZOS said was "that was your own fault". The same truth can be applied here, anyone can bid on locations, ANYONE even if they have no stock to sell. If the leader wants to sell off that guild to someone who wants the spot, thats between them.
