I don't think it's a secret now that cross faction guilds wanting to run together sometimes have to play the group finder game where they will have 3 players grouped and ask the 4th player to queue in the group finder to get placed into their group. However, this has adverse side effects and some one with limited play time like myself is getting a little too perturbed about it.
Playing at 3am is bad enough, finding a group takes a longer time than normal even if I queue as healer. I cannot tell you how many times last night I was placed in a group after waiting 20 minutes in queue, then immediately booted out because the group was trying to get their guildmate placed in the group. So I am put back into the queue and then kicked another 3-4 times from the same group until I logged off and said screw it. Now I would think the logical solution is for that group to all mark as DPS and Healer and then ask their guildmate to queue as tank since I would bet there are less tanks in queue than dps, but whatever...it's infuriating none the less.
This toppled with the misconception that "Sorcs cant heal, need a temp," makes me not want to use the tool at all. However, zone chat isn't exactly productive either at 3am. At least I can farm nodes in Wrothgar while waiting for the dungeon tool to group me. Can't do that in Storm Haven (DC's central Hub for LFG).
I love the fact we can cross faction now for dungeons, but this cheesing the group finder thing is really detrimental and it's killing me!
