Planning my tank side of my dk and I thought about 5 hist bark but not sure if there is a better route since my guy is stamina... looking at guild vendors seems there are many many many options

I like and use hist bark, another guild tank I know does well using Song of Lamae. A lot on here may advise armour master which is very nice but if your looking on venders can be a little harder to get and you have to be willing to give up a skill slot for evasion skill for it to be most effective.

Hist Bark is a very solid set for tanking, and can be crafted fairly early on in the game. Crafted sets can be made and refreshed to your level in a variety of styles and traits. I like and use Armor Master/Trinimac now as a magicka DK tank. I used to use Hits Bark/Footman as a stamina DK tank and it worked quite well.

There are also several dropped sets that work well if you can collect all the pieces, and they vary by what levels they will drop at.

It's light only, but has jewelry. So I use 5 heavy 2 light:
    2 pc heavy Engine Guardian
3 pc heavy Armor Master + S&B Armor Master on both bars
2 pc light Trinimac + 3 pc Trinimac jewelry

The heal isn't huge (I think it's ~3500) but it's a high 20% proc chance and can fire every 5 seconds. As a magicka tank, I am shielding more than blocking, so I cast Igneous often. It procs a *lot*. Ran the other day with someone else in Trinimac and it was almost funny how often it was pinging.

I'm really happy with it. I run a regen build and rarely need pots or shards now. It doesn't replace needing a healer, but your healer is freed up to do a lot more DPS.

(Of course this is not good for stam builds.)

It's a good set for stamina/melee DDs, but doesn't really bring much to the table for a tank.
