We get it - you don't want to build an auction house. Fine. But today I spent two hours roaming Tamriel because I wanted a Kyne's Kiss set to try. This was MISERABLE. It stinks, and frankly this guild system is a disservice to your players. So if you won't build an auction house, what if we find some middle ground?
Create an area - perhaps in your next DLC region - where a player can access ANY guild store with a trader. Maybe it's a shopping bazaar that has representatives from every region, and each rep allows players to access all guild stores from across that region. Or whatever. JUST STOP MAKING US TRAVEL ALL OVER TO FIND STUFF.
IT'S AUCTION HORSE TIME!!!
Access to ANY guild store... that has paid their tithe to Clavicus Vile at a centralized location that roams!

This way you wouldn't have to spam zone chat or sell to a merchant.

Guilds, by design, do NOT have a "dues" mechanic. Those guilds that charge you dues do so on their own. There are plenty trading guilds that charge no dues. You should seek out one of those.

And how many of them provide a preferred location that sees large numbers of players?
Guilds asking for dues do this either to profit the top leadership or to keep the Trade Guild in a prime position to continue to sell. Telling someone to go find a Trade Guild that doesnt ask for dues without being able to show them these Guilds have prime locations week to week is being misleading.
This is the best existing solution.http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/232628/tamriel-trade-centre-global-trading-house-added-all-trade-listings/p1
