Good question, all this downtime seems a bit excessive. At least a common courtesy thread keeping us informed would be nice.

I think Xbox downtime yesterday was three hours.

2-3 hours is not unheard of. Shorter if they are just doing a reboot. Longer if they are installing a patch.
