PvE in Cyrodiil PvP zone. Would it be better separated?

How about you people just leave my f**king Cyrodiil alone? Do I come into Wayrest and start telling you to move buildings around?

And if this eliminated Cyrodiil lag, what would you say then?
It has nothing to do with the lag, and if it does, it would be a very small part of a larger problem. Just leave it alone. I enjoy the PVE in Cyrodiil the way it is. It gives me somewhere to go when grinding alts that also has PVP in it. I'm sick of you A-holes trying to take that away from me.
Means easier grinding, imagine cracked wood but there are no hoards of reds there, you can come and go at your leisure and not worry about a NB ganking you?

And that is exactly why the best farm/grind spot is in a PvP zone. It adds the risk of losing stones even your grind spot.
PvE'ers QQing because the best farm/grind spot isnt so easy like the rest of PvE

Still amazes me how some pvers are still too scared to be in cyrodiil. Its like they get a heart attack when they see an enemy player in the distance.
Anybody got a group? LFG, anybody? Hello?

I am a major PvE hero and I would hate for them to fo a PvE only Cyrodiil. I love the mix of PvE and PvP. If people don't like to get ganked they can either stay out or put in some effort and build their character properly.

Why does a pure PvE'er feel the need to do all "PvE" content even if it is in PvP area's. It is placed there so it's part of the PvP experience. It's just some dungeons and repeatable quests.

You don't need it. There is no reward granted except a bit gold. The skyshards in PvP are not necessary as there are more then enough skillpoints ingame.

You don't hear the PvPérs cry about the skyshards in craglorn in PvE dungeons? I don't like PvE and certainly not Craglorn because for most of it I need a group. They don't remove the mobs just for me.

If one is a completionist (I want all achievemens and all quests done and all skyshards waaah) then he has to experience the PvP to get it. It is part of the game.

So many posts about this same topic. For those few repeatable non rewarding quests in Cyrodill and a few dungeons. 90% is already PvE only so stick to that, or are PvE'ers that bored of the game the seek new content.

Finally some more insight from a PvP player. I do get what you're saying. I used to play PvE exclusively until I was V16 and fully geared with a good build. During that time I never messed with Cyrodiil PvE content because it was simply unnecessary. I did take my crafter guy on a guild skyshard run but only because he has fully leveled every crafting line and I am trying to level a third weapon line without a respec. Otherwise the PvE content is pointless unless you are a completionist or simply grinding. Neither of those have anything to do with PvP so I really don't understand why you would say it's part of the PvP experience. PvP'ers certainly don't mess with the PvE content in Cyrodiil beyond killing a delve boss for the AP bonus.

I want to hear more opinions about this from PvP players. Do you care at all about Cyrodiil PvE content if there was another easy way to get the AP bonus? If it did help reduce or remove lag in Cyrodiil, would you fully accept a new PvP only campaign?

Separation of the zone has lore implications. It also widens the gap between PvE and PvP players. The supposed performance improvements it could bring, seem doubtful: as said above, the performance issues are very much tied to Veteran Campaigns, where (I'd argue) a larger portion of the population is engaged in PvP activities rather than PvE activities (though this is speculation). I'm all for testing it though, however, as Brian Wheeler explained in the latest ESO Live, even for these kind of changes, there's only one ruleset, so they have to either open up a whole separate server with different rulesets to test it (which wasn't feasible, according to Brian), or test it on PTS (which isn't the ideal replicate of live servers by any means).

Well the idea would be to keep the current campaigns "as is" with no changes and add more campaigns of PvE only and PvP only. The current campaigns would have no lore changes, the new PvE only campaigns could greatly expand the lore and overall immersion, and the new PvP only campaigns would drop all of that because I seriously doubt PvP players care at all about it.

As for widening the gap, I disagree. I believe it would cause all PvE players to eventually go through the new PvE only campaign to experience the new content. While there they would become familiar with the layout of Cyrodiil and the keeps which would greatly help them if they do switch to PvP. Also they would most likely engage in discussions with players who enjoy both PvE and PvP which could easily pique their interest and ultimately cause a lot of PvE only players to try it out.

As for testing it, I'm glad that you are all for that despite your doubts. You never know until you try, right? It seems to me that testing would be relatively easy. They would simply have to create a new campaign which has been gutted of the PvE content (except for the mobs which are wandering around outside for ultimate regen) and introduce one small change so you can still get the AP bonus from a different source. The existing campaigns would be untouched, and the PvP content in the new PvP only campaign would remain untouched. Then just see what happens. At the very least it might fail miserably but still give them some clue as to what really is causing the lag.
