[Windows 7] Fresh Install, Launcher stuck on LOADING.

Hello, hello everyone!

Recently I had decided that I wanted to get back into The Elder Scrolls: Online. However upon attempting to install the game on my new computer, it simply... well. After the initial installation of the Launcher, I'd run it and... nothing.

The Launcher just hitches on Loading. Endlessly. I've tried every odd fragment of advice I've been able to scavenge... from turning off Firewalls and Antivirus to clearing my cookies. (How that would've fixed it, I have no clue. But it was a tip given.) I did however use the Game Consultant and was wondering if any of the folk here can provide additional insight.

Unsure what the bumping policy is, but I do have a bit of an update. To, uh. Clarify my situation.

I've attempted to download and install the game while running each program as Administrator. With and without my Antivirus/Firewall running. Still, no results. Nothing came of it. It just stays on 'Loading', forever.

Game Consultant gave its report but repaired nothing, in spite of friends insisting that it would repair it. Which I doubted it would.

Can anyone help me? I've been waiting for my ticket to be answered for three days, now.

The Consultants Report won't repair. You need to do that in another part of the launcher. Above the news section you should see "Game Options". Click the small arrow to the right and then click Repair.

Edit your thread title and put your ticket number in the title as well. That usually helps CS see it so they can contact a support person. None of the mods here can help with the issues. They can direct you to articles of things to try but CS needs to actually look at your Consultants Report and see if anything is being blocked.

Try to run the repair and see if that can fix the launcher issues. There are many things that can cause the launcher to go silly and not work and yes even cookies or having IE set to auto detect LAN settings will cause issues with the launcher. Happens even if IE isn't your default browser.

Ah, but that's the thing! In the current state that the Launcher is in, all I can see is the Splash art and 'Loading'. There's no other buttons. Nothing to press. No Game Options, no News section. Nothing. It's just 'Loading'. The Launcher is largely useless in its current state. All I can do is close it, and reopen it. Only for it to get trapped in 'Loading' limbo all over again. :<

Have you tried the IE fix: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3054/kw/reinstall launcher. Silly I know but it does stop the launcher from working. There are certain feeds the launcher needs to even start working. This IE fix is necessary even if it isn't your default browser.

Just tried the IE fix. Didn't work. Tried uninstalling the Launcher and Reinstalling. Immediately after the Launcher was set up and auto-booted to set up what I would assume would be the installation process for the main game content, it hitched right on Loading all over again.

Fantastic. :< Still can't repair. Still don't even have the ESO.exe or anything. Just the Launcher, and it's not loading/downloading anything.

Have you tried running the installation from the C drive and installing it to the standard location of the C drive? At least to see if it works?

The install path should be whatever drive you are using.

Hey @Laersect, could you try installing to another directory and see if that works?

Edit: Scratch that. Just remove the apostrophe from your directory (MMORPG's), and that should do the trick.
