Spell damage goes through the roof when I equip a two hander

Any time I equip a two hander, my spell damage goes over 4000, normally it's around 3500 with my current set of willpower, Julianos, and torugs pact. But when I equip an great sword of willpower with precise trait, it skyrockets. Any idea how?

Dual wield will give you even more spell power. It's weird, but it's how it works.

This is how I feel about dual wielding and apparently 2Hs giving more spell power than staves.

Might give more but wont strengthen ur light attacks and wont fill ur magicka and arent ranged.
never underestimate a staff heavy, they [snip] hurt. People tend to see only one side from the coin.

I'd have to agree and add that it's trading raw damage in upfront burst form, for sustain and utility. There's a reason in PVE the main of many Magicka Sorcs, DKs, and NBs is an Inferno Staff.

Julianos + Molag Kena + Willpower + DW Torugs Pact swords (all v16 gold) gives around 4.6k spell dmg fully self-buffed.

[Edit] This is without the Apprentice Mundus.

Yea I'm wearing all v15 julianos gear except weapons, willpower, and molag Kenya, those are v16.

Yes, but if you are a ranged caster you give up light and heavy attacks.

Would love to see a damage comparison between weaving with a staff and not weaving with melee weapons.

Melee weapons do more then ranged weapons. They need Melee magic weapons

they need to balance them out even with the staff to fefill your magicka you dont need it ounce your champoin points are up both staff need a buff there both weak

Been this way for a while. Currently DW is best for boosting raw magic. It is a trade off because a magic build cant weave effectively with a bladed weapon. This is why a lot of people do a ranged single target build on their staff bar, and use a DW bar for things like executes, buffs, class AoE's, Overload, etc.

Just make sure you put skill points in the last DW passive.
