Champion points in Non-Vet PvP

Champion points in non-vet PvP completely removes the point of non vet PvP. I go into the non-vet PvP thinking

"oh hey, I'm level 41, I will have a good time and be able to hold my ground and kill a lot of people.

this is compltetly false

If you go into non vet PvP as a low level, there is almost no point and you honestly shouldn't if you don't want to ruin the PvP for yourself. There lvl 10's every where that use this cp stuff off of there vr 16 to get high percentage rates on certain things like spell damage.

So if I go in the game with no cp boost's persae and I have a weapon that does 600 damage regularly, it gets boosted to 1000. But with the percentage system, if someone goes in with a weapon that does 140 damage and gets boosted to a 1000 and has a percentage of 20% more weapon damage, the level 10's weapone is now doing 1200 damage.

makes no sense to me zos please take cp out of non vet PvP. Veteran rank players should not have an advantage in it

Lvl 41 isn't low, those cp people also have purple glyphs/jewellery and armour sets such as 9 trait morkuldan/kagrenacs and hundings or such.

    What equipment are you using.
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

CP is being removed from non-vet in the Thieves' Guild patch.

The new battle levelling is even more of a problem than CP however. It puts news players at an even greater disadvantage than if everyone had the same stats + CP (close to 1.6 battle level). You can get insane stats with good gear for your level, while a chap on his first will have less than a third of fighting power without even factoring in the skill difference from stats alone.

Non-vet should be a sandbox for new players to get to grips with aspects of the game. Back a year and it was that, with only a few people re-rolling. Now it's 30%+ farming new guys. This wasn't much of a problem with pre-TU since gear helped only slightly with the old battle levelling and CP was non-existent.

So true, I mean twinkling shouldn't beas easy as it is right now and shouldnt give people such a advantage. As a new played I stay away from PvP because its just no fun :( I think a lot of new players feel the same way

Actually I was duelling some newer players yesterday because they said they wanted to get better instead of just giving up. I can respect them for that. If you're just going to throw in the towel, especially when CPs are going to get removed shortly, I have no sympathy.

Ya exactly, I'm pretty good but a huge portion of PvP is based off gear.

It is true that you are new to PvP and you have a lot to learn, although current non-vet isn't great for learning with all the stat palava. Sadly, questing zones don't teach you much at all with difficulty being so low to what it was.

If I were you, I'd ask around for a non-vet focused PvP guild to take you in and offer advice and gear help. PvP is a whole different game from questing and other PvE and it'd take you months till you're confident in your ability. Don't give up yet, and if you're interested, roll a new character to play in non-vet with to hone your combat skills before you advance further into the game. It's a big world in ESO.

On the plus side by the time you start earning CP they will rain for you where as I had to earn each one the old fashioned way. At least you will catch up quickly. Ge a vet and start earning

Gear is a problem for new players, yes. I often wondered if it would be a good idea to have a vendor that sold blue low trait gear for AP. Sure they'd have to earn a bit of AP at first, but then they could buy sets like Seducer, Ashen grip, Magnus, Night Silence scaled to their level on purchase.
It'd be blue right off the bat, which is a good default to have in Cyrodiil.

Honesty I like CP in non Vet why shouldn't I be able to use the points I earned. But even without CP Vet players on new characters will still have higher skills and MUCH better gear then new players Purple Armor, weapons, jewelry and enchantments makes a big difference.

Changing the rage from "but he has 501 CP it's not fair" to "but he has the best crafted gear and enchantments" same [snip] different color.

If you are running a lvl41 char in BWB with no CP & no crafted gear you are going to have a tough time. Even just Battle levelling will make lower level chars even more powerful than you are.

Removing the CP component will definitely level the playing field a bit but not completely. You can still get PVP guild guys that have been farming AP with a strong guild & have a high Alliance Rank at relatively low character level. I have seen lvl19 guys that are Alliance Rank 11 !! Then there are the keep & scroll bonuses, Emp bonuses.. etc..

This game has been going for 2 years so the likelihood of a new guy jumping into PVP & winning is slim regardless. When I first started PVPing I died & died & died. I have a new friend trying ESO atm & he has the same issues... can't get a kill in PVP & so he hates it. He rages about the fact that the best players (those going for Emp) are given even greater bonuses that put them out of reach of the 'average' player... but that's the way the game is! When you get smashed by an Emp, you just have to accept it. It would be a pretty crap mechanic if a noob could show up in the game & beat the Emperor!

I only play the Vet camps even on non Vet characters. PvP is war not happy hand holding time fight or die people who have been here longer should do better point blank period. You still miss the point even without CP older players will still have higher stats with the better gear they can make their is no way to balance non PvP for new players without turning off CP and crafted gear and enchantments.

    I agree 100% with you,
i entered cyrodiil at level 25 on my 2nd account, NO CP's there and got wrecked by a lvl 10..
I was wearing purple julianos and magnus sets...

You have level 15 DK's running around with all points into Mighty and spell shields who crit rush in, wrecking blow you and you are dead..

Or Magblades who can perma stealth, templars spamming Bol more times than i have seen a VR16 doing it in cyrodiil...

I am sooooo glad that Zenni are making it a NO CP zone coz that is what it should be.

There are also a bunch of CP spots for increasing critical damage.

Just to be really clear.... these tree's do NOT increase your spell damage directly!

Spell damage will buff all damaging skills that cost magicka... so these tree's don't do that in such a wide ranging fashion.

Thaumaturge will increase damage done with poison disease or magic (Note.. magic damage is a specific type of damage), where as elemental expert will increase damage with ice shock or fire.

You need to find out which type of damage most of your spells are putting out which will tell you which tree to stack into.
