Why do Vampires have a double negitive?

It would have been really easy to balance both of these afflictions. Let lycanthropy be a physical boost with some downsides and vampirism a magicka boost likewise.

    Werewolf:
Ultimate: toggle like Overload, build up ultimate to maximize time in werewolf form - ultimate degrades slowly while werewolf
Abilities: Cost ultimate. Werewolf attacks do physical damage and have bleed effect.

Passives have constant effect, and are improved by skill points.

    0. Poison Claws - All Werewolf form physical attacks have 15%/33% chance to cause additional poison effect.

    1. Lycanthropic Recovery - 5/10/15% extra stamina and health regeneration while in combat

2.Hircine's Favour: 3/5% Physical damage mitigation

    3. Loping Stride: Reduce cost of sprint and roll dodge by 6/12%

    4. Curse of Lycanthropy: 75/50% additional damage from poison damage sources, weakness to fighter's guild abilities/prismatic enchantments and effects, etc.

    Vampirism:

    Ultimate: Batswarm (no difference)
Abilities - Mist form, Drain Essence (no difference)

    Passives

    0. Savage Feeding (no difference)

    1. Vampiric Recovery - 3/6/10% extra Magicka and Stamina recovery

    2. Undeath - immunity to disease effects

    3. Improved Sneak - negate movement penalty while sneaking, enter sneak faster at night, reduce radius of detection at night

    4. Curse of Vampirism - 75/50% additional damage from fire damage sources, weakness to fighter's guild abilities/prismatic enchantment/effects.

I don't claim this is perfectly balanced, the values can be adjusted further if necessary but I feel there should be clear benefits to having an affliction for min-maxers, as well as a clear and consistent disadvantage that is non-negligible factor.

In addition, there should be useful active abilities that make playing as either fun and flavourful. I like how the active abilities work now and there isn't any need to change those other than making werewolf abilities draw from ultimate and be adjusted for cost accordingly.

Undeath: Immunity to disease effect may seem a bit OP especially in pvp but I think the increased fire damage would make up for it. Fire is more prevalent and ubiquitous compared to poison so I think disease effect immunity not only fits conceptually as a vampire perk but also is fairer given the steeper downside of dealing with 50% extra fire damage.

They DID 'fix' it in a previous update... they reduced it from where it used to be because it was granting more damage mitigation than was intended.

You should get the magicka and stamina recovery regardless of having a vamp skill slotted, you're always in vampire form technically. It would balance out the negatives .

This is how it used to be until IC DLC/patch came out. A very ignorant change made that needs to be reversed.

To be fair, before that patch rolled out there was literally no reason not to be a werewolf, regardless what you were doing. So, on the wolves, that was a necessary change.

That they also applied this to vampires was always a little weird. But, at the same time, if you're a vampire and you're not running batswarm, what are you doing?

I like mist form u can avoid huge bursts by using it effectively making delayed bursts ( like sorc's easily counterable ) and clouding swarm is still a great skill one of the best ulties even with the nerfs. Only things that bother me with vamp is that u need to have skills on bar for bonuses and that dark stalker only works in stealth not invisibility ( no magblade cloak super speed  )

Also last time i checked if u press ESC ( works with block too ? Not sure ) u exit mist form so u can use it to dodge burst with good timing and when nothing gonna hit u go back to killing your target without waisting time.

WW are fine as they are. Would prefer if FG abilities procced in human form too but meh. Being forced into a predictable rotation when transformed leaves u more open than u think.

my Stam character Chooses to be a vamp for movement speed. Cloak + Stealth movement goes hand in hand for me and im not willing to drop 299 weapon damage for that privillage.

Do i die because im a vamp? Yes, fire and fighter guild hurts, i was one shot by an ambush that double procc'd camohunter just yesterday (proc from stealth and the 4%/15% chance proc). I die 3/4 times if i get a dawn breaker on me and dont cloak away.

how often does that happen? once every two or three sessions is my guess depends how long i'm on for

So why do i stay vampire? because it saves my butt at least 3 times or more in a session. just that stealth movement speed on my class is enough. i dont slot any skills (as they suck) or ultimate (as i prefer other options as a stam NB)

Would i go Vamp on another class No, it makes some PvE content unplayable. and the benefits in PvP are not good enough. People have skill points coming out their eyeballs anyone who doesnt have fighters guilds passive is either PvP'ing on their crafter alt or doing it wrong.

Should it be buffed? dont buff it just fix it. skills that are now useless and passives that dont work as intended? whilst you are at it...really 2 skills and an ultimate....Thats all you get? and people are actually buying it from the crown store?. what we're you thinking ZOS?

Honestly, PvE on a Vampire Stam Sorc is remarkably workable. Surging Lethal Arrow is just some kind of cruelty, but it works. I wouldn't particularly want to take her into Cyrodiil though.

So they fixed it to the point of not working?
