I would like to see a [insert class name here]

I'd like to create a casual discussion about future classes. No need to cry out to ZOS to make the class you want, just leave your ideas and fantasies at the door, and discuss away.
Here, I'll start:

I would like to see a Seer. A powerful class based on buffing itself, its allies, its weapons and armour. A soft target if unbuffed, but a force to be reckoned with when at full strength. The abilities would range between offensive buffs: powering up own and allies' weapons, giving each weapon type a different boon, applying debuffs on enemies, refreshing own buffs when they die or even applying new ones and defensive buffs: granting regeneration on own and allies' armours, giving each armour type a different boon, giving speed to some, endurance to others, even increased critical, some buffs may explode and stun enemies when expiring while others would heal or restore stamina/magicka.
Ultimates would range from becoming a giant with greatly increased stats to weakening and slowing down all enemies.

Well now, on you go, shower us with your thoughts!

P.S.
I've seen many pleas for a necromancer class, consider that many NPCs frown upon it and the daedra use it as a main tool for their schemes. Be better than Molag Bal, use life to combat death!

Necromancy, also called the Necromantic Arts, Dark Arts, or Dark Practice, is the manipulation of the souls or corpses of the dead
I don't think you can build a whole class around that.

But I would like to see a Daedric class that was from a DLC and when picking it made you the Dremora/Xivkyn Race. Now that would be sweet- Obviously would be P2W but ZOS are not focusing on Base Game no mo

I would love to see a class built around shapeshifting.

I see so many possibilities far more than presently offered by Werewolf.

Maybe a nature based class, with skill lines and passives opening up the ability to transform into different animals dependent on choices made........

Then skill lines tailored to specific shapes, could be brilliant. :)
    When people say to me........

I would love to see more options, both in terms of classes - though I would go with a Class Morph Idea for that one - and in terms of skill lines that every class might be able to go for, like, say, more guild skill lines (like a bardic guild based entirely on spellsong AoE buff/debuff abilities).

Class morphs would both add more varietee, and prevent vexation from people who spent a LOT of time on their characters, and would be excluded from any new classes added as "normal additional class" instead. I definitely think that this would be the best idea to add more class varietee (but then, seeing how it kinda is mine, I would ;) ), and give people a chance to play as shamans, necromancers, illusionists, rangers or pyromancers without drawbacks (well... except doubling ZOS efforts to balance the various skills of course... totally worth it IMO!)

Skill lines would be for things open for all regardless of class, be it guilds, religions, professions, and so on.

In effect, both of those ideas would center on adding single skill lines, the class morph just would limit some skill lines to some classes to ensure people don't goo too overboard with "FOTM" builds where everyone is running the very same selection of super-effective ability combinations.

    No it's not.

It was supposed to be a 5th class, a Nature type healer alongside the Templar who is a Divine Healer

I actually would love to see a 2nd healer and a 2nd tank class, since we alrdy have 2 dpsers

They should remove classes all together and put in the following rules:
    1. At one time, a character can only have abilities from two "class" skill lines in their action bar. Switching bars can have the same two, or two different "class" skill lines available.
    2. Passives only work when an active ability is in the current action bar. Switching bars can disable/enable different passives.
This kind of system would allow ZOS to release a single new "class" skill line without the need to create a balanced trio. It will also point out which "class" skill lines are sub-optimal due to participation rates.

I already had an idea that they could remove classes altogether and let players at character creation pick 3 skill lines of their choosing. For characters which already exist, they could give them this one time choice as well. But I don't think we can expect such thing.

So instead I think it would be cool if they add not classes but skill lines in the future when you can have only one of them active at a time though. Basically what we already have in WW and vamp, but more detailed.

I'd actually prefer if they'd flesh out the current 4 classes a bit more first. Before adding in new ones tbh. (in terms of class skills, etc)

And maybe some new weapons types. Some randoms examples: wands, spear/scythe, claws/fist, magicka-based off-hands, such as tomes, or Ayleid crystals, etc. (this last bit might be a bit OT, sorry ;p )

I'd like to see new "World" Trait lines you can acquire through quests, training, schools, etc... instead of new classes.

These could be limited somehow, acting like "prestige" classes of some sort (just like how you can't be both a vampire & werewolf)

    These could include things like:

    Necromancy

Forbidden magic school, could somehow be restricted to reflect how badly it is seen. Could also be reason for Justice to go after you if demonstrated in public. Would follow the same line of Daedric Summoning - but with undead. Could somehow play special roles in PVP, like being able to "bring forth" a puppet/undead creature from the corpses of fallen enemies that draw its power from the original player it was made from, for example. Could be fun.

    Animal Taming
The abilities to handle animals. I see the animal handling trait line as a general purpose trait line - not just combat. So animals could have different types - for example, cosmetic pets (we have them now), Combat Pets (they fight with you), Hauling pets (extra bag slots; pack mules, etc...) Foraging Pets (animals that can forage crafting nodes, point them out, follow smells... imagine a dog that barks when you're close to a treasure chest, for example).

    Nature Magic
Like someone have mentioned, the fallen "Warden" class. Could be related to the different 'nature' entities every faction have, like the wyresses, the argonians, the treeminders, etc... Player could become associated with such groups and unlock a trait line focused in healing, support and crowd control based on nature magic. This could be mutually exclusive to Necromancy, for example - one can't control life/nature and death magic at once.

    Elemental Magic/Geomancy

I like how Destruction Staff skills change if you're using an ice, lightning or fire staff. I imagine Geomancy as a special magicka-based trait line that offers both offensive and defensive skills that change based on the terrain you are at the moment - as if manipulating the energies of the environment around you. So when next to water bodies/rivers/lakes, the skills are based on water, on deserts you can get wind magic, dust storms, etc... on forests you have roots and things like that... etc... When on interior locations, you could have skills that 'throw' furniture, floating books, etc. Could be interesting - and funny.

Shaman! I will always have a fondness in my heart and awesome memories of both my Shaman from WoW and my favorite Bear Shaman from Age of Conan.

Imagine playing a healing class that dots and debuffs and whose damage increases from healing!! That is what the Bear Shaman was all about!

I would like to se a Berserker.

That type of class that pair the hp of a tank without its damage mitigation, and pairs dps classes when about to die, gaining more damage the less hp it haves.

Abilities would range between pure damage skills to buffs that heals when you do damage/kill an enemy, increasing all numbers(damage and healing) the less hp the character has. Maybe even a ultimate that triggers itself when you die and basically allows you to stay alive x seconds, so you would have the chance to heal up with only your heals from doing damage/kill stuff, and if you cant before the time runs out, you die.

I'm already making a berserker type character, already got the look and bars, just need to max it out, but there is not a lot of things to work with to achieve the theme.

I can think of a million things! First off, specializations for the existing classes would be really interesting. This could be achieved by unlocking third-tier morphs and then going with a general theme for each specialization.

As far as new classes go, I think it would be great if we had some sort of Ranger class. I definitely feel as though bows could use some love, and playing in PvP gives me the distinct impression that ZoS did not have bow-users in mind when they implemented such powerful gap closers. So, it would be nice if a new class was implemented that could help counter this and give bow-users a viable strategy to fend off DKs and NBs.

I have heard a lot of talk about a tamer class, and this could definitely be one of the Ranger's specializations, calling upon their furry friends to attack their enemies. Another could probably be a saboteur. I'm not too sure about the details, but it is definitely something to keep in mind.

    Cheers,
    Snuggle
