As for people saying max CP chars running around BwB I would suggest that since ZoS has plans to make a non CP campaign I think BwB should be non CP as standard, it's a low level
Beginners campaign last thing they need is to be farmed by high CP chars with OP battle levelling

But mostly I cant think of a good reason not to do this or how it might be abused.

Anyone that says "no" is simply doing so to be argumentative. As most everyone else has pointed out, there's absolutely zero reasonable reasons to not make AP bankable.

Hopefully they'll add this in at some point.

AP is an in-game currency. EVERY other in-game currency can be placed in the bank- gold, gear, Tel Var, trophies. So why would AP NOT be bankable? I would love to hear an explanation for this from ZOS

I think AP should be account wide, encourage people to play alts and try out other skills, classes and builds.

Agree with OP. There is no compelling reason it shouldn't be.

If it can be sold, it should be allowed to be transferred between characters.

Hell, sharing CP is more controversial than this.

Just to clarify to everybody else who isn't going to take the time to read the whole thread, the OP is saying the currency of AP should be bankable, not that the character progression AP should be shared. This would in no way effect a character's Alliance War rank.

I completely agree with the OP. Imagine PVPing on 8 characters and having 500K AP on each, with monster set pieces costing 1M AP. Even though you would have earned enough AP to buy 4 set pieces, you would still be at least 500K AP away from being able to buy one with no way to consolidate AP. The current system directly punishes people who PVP with multiple characters, and if this isn't changed by the time they release the monster set vendors, I'm sure many players will be very disappointed.
